The term “Kundalini” comes from the Sanskrit word “kundal,” which means “circular.” It also refers to a coiled snake. And according to practitioners, Kundalini energy is like that coiled snake: It sits at the base of your spine, sleeping and unaroused.

Kundalini yoga is practiced to activate this energy, which allows it to move up and through the chakras along your spine.

Ayurveda is a natural system of medicine, originated in India more than 3,000 years ago. The term Ayurveda is derived from the Sanskrit words ayur (life) and veda (science or knowledge). Thus, Ayurveda translates to knowledge of life.

Reiki

The word “Reiki” means “mysterious atmosphere, miraculous sign.” It comes from the Japanese words “rei,” meaning universal, and “ki,” meaning life energy.

Reiki is a type of energy healing. Energy can stagnate in the body where there has been physical injury or even emotional pain. In time, these energy blocks can cause illness.

Energy medicine aims to help the flow of energy and remove blocks in a similar way to acupuncture or acupressure. Improving the flow of energy around the body can enable relaxation, relieve pain, speed healing, and reduce other symptoms of illness.

Salad is always available too, along with dessert. All food is satvik, cooked with love and care, in a hygienic manner, and with fresh produce from the local market.

"If the diet isn't proper, then medicine has no value. If the diet is correct, medicine is not needed." - Ayurvedic Proverb

Mimamsa Yogshala considers yoga to be more than just a form of exercise for the body and mind. It’s a complete framework for a joyful and healthy Life. Ayurveda, also systematized by sage Patanjali, who wrote the Yoga Sutras, is yoga’s sister science, and the combination of both ensures a long life free of suffering.

The food you consume isn't just to maintain your physical health but also to maintain good mental and spiritual well-being. Food, in the yogic system, is classified differently than by modern science. Instead of dividing and categorizing food into carbohydrates, proteins, etc., yoga and Ayurveda classify foods as Satvic, Rajasic, and Tamasic.

Tamasic foods make you feel lazy. Rajasic food can make you active and cause tension, whereas sattvic foods make you feel energized, enthusiastic, yet light.
