This retreat is a comprehensive program in which Vijith Pavi teaches the art of teaching yoga (how to instruct, demonstrate, observe, and give hands-on assistance in a yoga asana class), anatomy (how yoga sees the human body and how the human body functions about yoga asana), philosophy (the roots of yoga as a philosophical and spiritual discipline, particularly about contemporary life), asana, pranayama, and meditation practice (focus on alignment and making every asana available to everyone by the use of props and modifications).

Tattvaashramyogshala School of Yoga is situated in a quiet place near the beach . This is the place where you can learn to relax your mind, body, and soul completely.
Rooms
The rooms are twin bedded sharing rooms with private bathroom and balcony, kitchen facility, surrounded by a beautiful garden with a large terrace. Single rooms are available at request.

Program
Yoga posture classes at Tattvaashram Yogshala are based on both classical Hatha yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga. The teachers are unique, being steeped in ancient knowledge, and also trained in modern teaching methods. All classes are adapted for beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
Apart from the yoga asana classes, you can participate in sessions on pranayama (understanding and regulating your breath), Pratyahara (internalization of sensory inputs), Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation) processes drawn from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali - ancient yogic doctrine that aims to integrate your body, mind, heart, and souls for complete living.
Twice daily group yoga sessions and one daily meditation session are included in the stay for you. For you who would like to delve deeper into the ancient spiritual tradition of yoga, a yoga training is structured carefully to allow you to experience not just the physical aspects of yoga but also Karma yoga (selfless work), various yogic kriyas, and Nidra yoga (deep relaxation) besides some rejuvenating massages, community service, and more.

Yogi Vijith Pavi
Yogi Vijith Pavi an experienced yogi and qualified yoga teacher, guide therapist. Vijith Pavi has been a yoga practitioner since 2000, teaching since 2006, he intensively practiced over the years in Hatha yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa,Yin yoga, Feminine yoga, Iyengar yoga, Alignment Adjustment, Therapeutic yoga, he established, ran and taught in a yoga studio Tattvaashramyogshala for over 14 years, running workshops in India and guided many yoga conventions. He is a senior therapist, Thai yoga therapy, deep tissue, shiatsu and Ayurveda Panchakarma, marma (pressure point)and chavittithirunnu (kalari).
Yogacharya Ashothaman
Yogacharya Ashothaman was born in Tamilnadu and completed his education in yoga. He has a master's degree in yoga. he has been teaching yoga for the last 20 years. He takes Hatha yoga, Yin yoga, Pranayama Meditation, and Reiki healing therapy. he spent years as a sadhaka studying yoga practices, mainly meditation and yoga texts including yoga sutra, Bhagavad gite, and Vedanta darshan, and serving the ashram through teaching and ashram duties as his sadhana.

Soumya my career starts with a B.com after completing the degree. Into my passion completed the pranic healing Ayurveda Panchakarma, thai Yoga. Shiatsu and yoga therapy course in 2010. Ayurveda yoga therapeutic was the preferred subject . Completed training from various institutes like Ayurkshetra .Worked in many institutes in India. Also, mantra chanting, meditation, pranayama, practicing, teaching, and teaching yin yoga ..13 years experience now.

The state-government-run KSRTC plies buses regularly from Thiruvananthapuram. Tourists coming from Kochi can board a bus to Thiruvananthapuram and get down at Attingal to catch a connecting bus to Varkala. Buses can get crowded and the journey can get a tad tedious.
Arrival by train
Varkala lies on the rail line connecting Thiruvananthapuram to Ernakulam. However, all trains do not stop at the station. Thiruvananthapuram is the major railhead close to Varkala. Thiruvananthapuram is connected by rail to several Indian cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Bengaluru. Taxis can be hired from the railway station to Varkala.
