Yoga
Yoga is perfect for people of all ages, shapes, and sizes. Your teacher will help you grow and develop your practice based on your personal level of physical fitness. If you have any questions beforehand, you are more than welcome to call or stop by the studio to talk with Absolute Sanctuary’s yoga instructors. Practicing yoga has a lot of benefits.
Regular yoga practice burns calories and can speed up your body’s metabolism, so many people do lose weight by practicing yoga. Practicing yoga regularly will also increase your flexibility many times over. Even being sweaty during practice is a good thing. Your skin is the biggest detoxifying organ in the body and sweating is one of the best ways to cleanse your system.
Pilates reformer
Absolute Sanctuary is the first resort that brings group Pilates reformer classes to Asia. Inspired by the unique programs of Absolute Pilates, Thailand’s first large group Pilates reformer studios, the classes center around the Pilates reformer machine. This machine can strengthen your core muscle groups, burn fat, and build long, lean, and toned muscles to achieve the ideal body.
Traditional Pilates classes are conducted one-on-one for rehabilitative purposes or mat-work-based. However, unlike the traditional Pilates classes, Absolute Sanctuary offers a fun-fully interactive, and dynamic group class experience on the reformer machine which is highly effective in building lean and toned muscles that will give you a slimmer figure.
Core blast
Core blast classes center around core suspend, a highly effective training tool using two separately anchored suspension ropes, ensuring core activation and full engagement of the entire body. This is further enhanced using a range of functional training accessories including toning balls, foam rollers, and resistance bands to create a fun-dynamic group class experience to get you in shape fast.
Unlike conventional fitness-based exercise programs, each core blast program has been precisely structured to ensure that students work in the targeted areas efficiently. Most importantly, students are taught how to properly use their breath and engage the right muscles for maximum results.

Originally from Berlin, Germany. Jana came to Koh Samui in 2005 and encountered her first yoga class with Absolute Yoga, which formed a strong passion that propelled her on her yoga journey. Jana has a gentle approach to teaching and enabling her students to move in a rhythm that guides them mindfully with their breath. Every student is given room to nurture their body and mind in an atmosphere of safety and comfort, creating a state of balance and harmony.
Retreat location
This retreat will take place in Koh Samui, Surat Thani, Thailand. Absolute Sanctuary is nestled into the hillside with a stunning view of the Gulf of Thailand on the Choeng Mon Peninsula.

Indulge in the Absolute welcome ritual massage or knead out your tension spots with Absolute back, neck, and shoulder bliss and Absolute Thai stretch massages. Your complimentary spa treatments are:
- One colon hydrotherapy session
- 30 minutes of FAR infrared sauna session
- 60 minutes of deep calm massage
- 45 minutes of Absolute upper body and neck massage
- 60 minutes of choice of (aroma or Swedish) or Absolute Thai stretch massage
- 45 minutes of facial yoga treatment
- 45 minutes of renewing body scrub
- 30 minutes of herbal heat compress
Specific requirements
Please shower before each treatment and check in at least 10 minutes prior to your treatment. If you are more than 10 minutes late for an appointment, Absolute Sanctuary cannot guarantee your treatment. Male guests are advised to shave three hours prior to a facial. Alcohol consumption before any spa treatment is not recommended. If you are sunbathing after your treatment, you are advised to shower off any oils remaining from the treatment. If you are sunburnt, it is suggested that certain treatments be avoided as they may be uncomfortable.
Change and cancellation policy
The resort does not allow any exchanges of treatments unless due to medical reasons and on an exception basis subject to the discretion of the management. If you do not wish to have a treatment that is already booked, please advise reception. Absolute Sanctuary requires a three-hour notice for cancellation of a la carte treatments and a six-hour notice for spa packages. A 50 percent fee will be charged if you fail to give the required notice.
