About the course

This Somatic Yin yoga training program is suitable for all dedicated yoga practitioners and yoga teachers of all levels and styles who would like to deepen their practice and understanding of yoga, their own body, and are curious and open to exploring and learning a complementary practice to all dynamic yoga styles and sports activities.

Immerse yourself in the quiet, healing world of Yin Yoga and discover the power of somatic practice. In this training course, we combine traditional Yin postures with modern insights from somatic bodywork. The focus is not on outward perfection, but on consciously sensing, experiencing and understanding your body from the inside out.

Somatic Yin Yoga invites you to slow down, release tension and bring lasting balance to your nervous system. Through mindful movements, subtle awareness exercises and poses held for an extended period, space is created for regeneration, self-reflection and deep relaxation.

The Somatic Yin practice brings you into deeper contact with your body and breath, inviting you to tune into your inner self. We can let ourselves sink deeply into our bodies, perhaps losing ourselves a little in the process, and sense something that goes beyond what we already know.

Would you like to get to know effective self-help tools to release unpleasant tensions and to relieve existing pain, e.g. in the back? Additional to increase the mobility of your joints, improve your posture and stability and stimulate the flow of energy in your body, thus increasing your general well-being?

In this training you will learn several effective techniques that work specifically on your connective tissue, the so-called fascia, and thus release tension and agglutination in the myofascial tissue, so that pain can be relieved or even disappear completely, and the healing process is actively supported and accelerated.

The training is a combination of both theory and practice.

You will be nourished by two daily yoga practices, meditations, pranayama, and the amazing energy of the unspoiled nature and surroundings. Private chefs will prepare three super healthy meals a day - delicious vegetarian, Mediterranean, and Asian-influenced meals. You will be guided by professional and skillful yoga teachers, who love to share their knowledge and passion for yoga with you. After the course you will leave feeling recharged, empowered, balanced, and confident in your teaching.

Course Structure

The course is suitable for all yoga practitioners, body therapists and yoga teachers and is divided into 3 modules.

The Somatic Yin Yoga Teacher Training is an 12-day residential course. All three modules are included in this training, and each module builds on the previous one.

Module 1: Yin Yoga Foundation Training

In the first days of the training, you will gain the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to teach a Yin Yoga class incorporating all 35 Yin Yoga asanas and variations.

Module 2: Introduction to TCM, Meridians & the 5 Elements

In the second part of the training, we delve deeper into the energetic effects of Yin Yoga and the mysterious world of fascia.

We will build on the anatomical knowledge gained in the first part through both theory and practice. Basic knowledge of TCM, meridians, the Five Elements and the flow of Qi

Module 3: Somatic Yin Yoga, Myofascial Release & Yintelligence

In the third part of the training, we combine traditional Yin postures with modern insights from somatic bodywork. We deliberately set aside plenty of time for the yoga practice. The whole body is massaged, mobilised and stretched, and the nervous system is regulated
