Ich hatte mir ein paar entspannende Tage in ruhiger Natur mit Yoga und Meditation gewünscht und viel mehr erhalten. Ich buchte relativ spontan und war froh zu dieser Jahreszeit überhaupt einen Retreat in der Region zu finden, sodass ich die nicht ganz unkomplizierte Anreise nach Elba sehr gerne auf mich nahm. Ich war aufgrund des Zeitpunkts die einzige Teilnehmerin im Kurs, was Christel zu meiner privaten Lehrerin machte. Dieser Umstand erlaubte einen nahen und persönlichen Austausch, sowie gemeinsame Inselerkundungen. Christel und Alberto haben mich unglaublich freundlich aufgenommen und waren großzügige Gastgeber. Die Insel hat einen wahnsinnigen Charme - die Natur, die Sonne und die Menschen waren wahres Balsam für die Seele. Ich komme sehr gerne mal wieder :)

Very peaceful and beautiful island.

Lucky with weather, started every morning on th outdoor shala, mat yoga then aerial yoga then breakfast/lecture. Rest a little bit then lunch.

From mid afternoon to evening, aerial yoga restoration and workshop, yin yoga and teaching class on last day.

Chris is very experienced and excellent yoga instructor. Explained and demonstrated all postures and how to teach students doing the postures.

Food was excellent, prepared by Italian/Argentine chef. Different menus every day. He used the organic herbs/vegetables from the garden. We also have fresh fruits from the garden every day.

Accommodation was nice. Clean and quiet.

Highly recommended for people who like the nature, Yoga, meditation, Thai massage, cooking class, water sports, hiking etc.

We have just returned from the most wonderful week on a yoga retreat with Shanti Yoga Elba and can't recommend it highly enough, it is the most peaceful, beautiful place ever. Everything was just perfect, from sunrise yoga on the outdoor shala, zen meditation in the garden to evening yoga in the indoor shala. We enjoyed the most amazing home cooking vegan dishes with veggies straight from the garden. Christel is the most a wonderful host and excellent yoga instructor. Our accommodation was great, very clean and comfortable. It has to be one of the best weeks we have had and we will definitely be returning.

I liked everything, Elba is a beautiful Island and thanks to Christel I saw a lot of it, she took me to beautiful beaches and provided lots of information about how to explore the island by bus (bus timetable and map provided) and what I could explore nearby to Villa Shanti - Marciana Alto 20 minute walk and on the way the opportunity to go on a cable "cage" lift up onto the mountain. I'm going to have to return in order to do the latter as I ran out of time!!

Alberto and Christel were wonderful hosts and the food was delicious, lots of variety BBQ on Sunday for new arrivals and a family from the USA. Salmon one evening provided by another guest from Iceland - Birgir - Best salmon I've tasted with a lovely sauce/mayo and accompanying dishes. Food cooked by Alberto "Italian Chef" he described himself as enjoying cooking "from the heart" to ensure his guests ate delicious food - I agree!

I hadn't done a lot of yoga in recent months so was feeling "unfit" ! As a result I was therefore very pleased that during my stay on my f"one to one" yoga sessions with Christel we targeted areas of my body I wanted to work on so I came home feeling rejuvenated, slender and a bit taller with all the stretching. I had the opportunity to meet some lovely people whilst there, Christel's neighbours joined us for some of our yoga sessions and friends visiting from the States who came for the BBQ and a lovely family from Iceland.

I was a privileged guest and devinitely want to return.
