Villa Shanti has a big apartment (60 square meters) for four people, with one bedroom with two single beds, and going up against some stairs you have a loft-like open second bedroom with two single beds. A huge living room with a well-equipped kitchen and going out to a terrace which leads to a huge garden. And of course one bathroom.

The second apartment with a double bed, bathroom, and kitchen with a small living room has 30 square meters and leads as well out to the terrace and garden. The whole house has air-conditioners (warm and cold) and free Wi-Fi. Villa Shanti itself provides a huge garden with relaxing zones and hammocks. They have a beautiful pool (13x4 meters) that can be heated out of season.

Program

Shanti Yoga Elba will ask you to experiment with new ideas and practices, all tried and true yet may be new to you. The level of difficulty will depend on how deeply ingrained unhealthy habit patterns and behaviors have become. They all know how difficult it is to break addictions. What most dieters do not understand is prior established behaviors such as food choices as food frequency, food quantity, food types, and food quality have become similar to addictions. Addressing weight loss from a yoga perspective or through a yoga practice, you will also see many other personal benefits.

Yoga's aim is to balance and heal mind and body, therefore perfectly suited for a weight loss program. It actually is the ultimate weight loss program. When addressing weight loss from a yoga perspective, there is no set of rules, there are just certain principles. In other words, yoga will not tell you what to eat but will suggest that whatever you eat, eat it moderately. Yoga will not tell you what to do, it will just ask you to wake up and see what you are doing and then ask yourself if what you are doing is helping or hurting?

Retreat location

The retreat will take place in Marciana, Tuscany, Italy. Villa Shanti (means peace) is a very peaceful location enclosed between sea and nature, surrounded by mountains and only four kilometers from the next beach. You can hike directly from the house or bike around a beautiful part of the island, called the Occidental route. All kinds of water sport are possible on their 365 beaches. And they do have the most beautiful beach in the whole of Italy.

Elba

Best known for Napoleon’s exile, Italy’s third-largest island offers picturesque beaches, great diving, charming towns, great food, and of course relaxing yoga at Villa Shanti.
