How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), the closest and most convenient airport for you to fly to. If you are visiting India for the first time then it is better for you to take a flight to Jolly Grant Airport (DED) in Dehradun (a city nearby), and from there, it is a 30-minute drive by car, so you save a hustle.

Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) to Rishikesh by car is a 6-hour journey. Rishikesh Yoga Association has a transportation package for 120 USD which will cover your airport pick-up, transfer from Delhi to Rishikesh (by car), and after completion of the course transfer back from Rishikesh to Delhi. One-way transportation i.e. DEL airport to Rishikesh is also available for 60 USD. In case your flight arrives late at night and you want to stay overnight in Delhi, the airport pick-up cost will be 25 USD and reasonably good accommodation at a hotel in Delhi can be arranged for 40 or 50 USD.

Their travel arrangements are executed under the supervision of professionals and they are always ready with a backup plan, in case of emergencies. For more information, you can send an inquiry to Rishikesh Yoga Association.

Arrival by train

Another good option is to travel by train (airport to New Delhi train station by car, then to Haridwar station and from Haridwar station to Rishikesh by car). Travel by bus is quite cheap but a bit inconvenient for first-time visitors.
