There is a choice of four rooms, namely:
- The Studio: which is largely open space, with a double-height ceiling in the bedroom area, is ideal for a group of friends up to four people
- The Peacock Room: double / twin has a nice seating area and shares a large bathroom with the Partridge room
- The Pheasant Room: double / twin has an ensuite bathroom and windows looking out to the garden and the courtyard
- The Partridge Room: double / twin / single and shares the large bathroom with the Peacock room
Program
A yoga and mindfulness retreat is a reminder to slow down, breathe deeply, and find balance in your busy lives. It is an ideal opportunity to simply focus on reconnecting with yourself and becoming more present and aware. When you're more mindful, you're more open to new ideas, increased creativity, and an enhanced sense of purpose.
This retreat will include a variety of Hatha, Yin, and Yoga Nidra along with mindful meditation practices, experiential work, and group discussions. All workshops will be led by Angela Wilken.
Sample daily schedule
Day 1: Friday
- 14:00 Arrive, and time to settle in and relax or go for a walk
- 17:30 Mindfulness Introduction followed by Yin yoga
- 19:30 Dinner served
- 21:00 Meditation
Day 2: Saturday
- 08:00 Breakfast
- 10:30 Meditation, breathwork, followed by energizing yoga
- 13:00 Lunch
- 14:30 Mindful Walk / free time
- 16:30 Mindfulness workshop followed by Yin yoga
- 19:30 Dinner served
- 21:00 Meditation

Instructors
Angela Wilken
Angela is an accredited MBSR teacher. After seeing the benefits that mindfulness brought - being more productive and focused improved business, and personal relationships, less stress, improved well-being, and the ability to remain calm when dealing with stressful situations, Angela decided to step back from her beauty distribution business and train as a mindfulness teacher. She has since established a bed and breakfast and retreat center, where she now runs a variety of mindfulness programs.

Please book your flight to arrive at Aberdeen Dyce Airport (ABZ). Mindfulness Balance can arrange a free pick-up from this airport.
Alternatively, you can fly to Edinburgh Airport (EDI) and get a train to Stonehaven, and Mindfulness Balance will arrange a free pick up from Stonehaven.
You can get a bus or tram into the city center, where you will be able to get a train to Stonehaven. Mindfulness Balance will arrange for you to be picked up free of charge from Stonehaven railway station. The return train fare from Edinburgh to Stonehaven will cost approximately 50 GBP.
From Glasgow Airport (GLA)
You can get a train from Glasgow Airport to Stonehaven, which will cost approximately 69 - 85 GBP. This is not a direct train. Mindfulness Balance will arrange for you to be picked up from Stonehaven railway station free of charge.
Cancellation Policy
- A reservation requires a deposit of 14% of the total price.
- The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
- The rest of the payment should be paid 21 days before arrival.
