Angela Wilken
Angela is an accredited MBSR teacher. After seeing the benefits that mindfulness brought - being more productive and focused improved business, and personal relationships, less stress, improved well-being, and the ability to remain calm when dealing with stressful situations, Angela decided to step back from her beauty distribution business and train as a mindfulness teacher. She has since established a bed and breakfast and retreat center, where she now runs a variety of mindfulness programs.

Where to start the whole retreat from start to finish was fabulous …Angela is just fantastic and the whole expierence was so uplifting and healing and energising . I cannot express how great it was the setting the programme the Accomadation and the surroundings where meditation in nature wow …and the food !!! Outstanding quality quantity and taste . So very very glad I went it was a great choice and recommend here 100% welcoming warm and definitely worth experiencing .

rejuvenating stay.
This was a much needed panacea - the best this was mindfulness practise whilst emerged in nature. Dolphins were an added bonus.

Highly recommended!
I came back from the retreat some days ago, but my mind is still in Muchalls.
Everything there is made for you to feel comfortable and safe to let your emotions go the way they need.
Angela is warmly welcoming you in her home. The food served is amazing!
The environment is great, you might loose yourself walking on the cliffs and find it again by just looking at the sea and breathing deeply.
Jane's yoga energy is beautiful.
Everyone is free to practice yoga and meditation to his own purpose.
I quickly got the feeling I was there since forever and could stay forever.
If you're considering booking this retreat, just do it, you'll have a great time.

Amazing few days relaxing by beautiful cliffs
Angela and her husband were fantastic hosts, with lovely clean accommodation and delicious meals served up morning noon and night, with lovely homemade cakes at break times! The meditations and exercises we performed were very thought provoking and I'll definitely be taking lots away to work on. We were lucky with the weather and spent lots of time outside in the beautiful scenery surrounding the accommodation. Would definitely recommend!

Proved wonderfully wrong.
Being a natural cynic, I initially questioned the claims that this weekend could nourish and unwind my mind. Yet, I was proved wonderfully wrong
Angela’s gracious hospitality meant that the small group of strangers soon became relaxed in each other’s company.
The accommodation was excellent and the food amazing. The surrounding area, simply stunning.
It felt as it the Mindfulness course had been designed with each individual in mind. Angela’s expertise was shared in a non-patronising, fun and useful way. Having never meditated before, I was worried that I would struggle to be still, but the atmosphere created was one of calm and there was no pressure to act in any expected way.
The mindful walk and the sunrise experiences will rank as one of my all-time joyful moments.
The advice of how to make mindfulness part of everyday (Stressful) life was helpful and practical, useful in both family and work situations.
If you are wondering if this retreat is for you, my honest advice is to just book it and go. I don’t use the terms lightly, but for me, it was ‘life changing’ and ‘life affirming’.

Perfect surroundings to immerse yourself n mindfulness
Firstly, Angela went out of her way to make me feel at home and the room was very comfortable. Angela actually upgraded me to the studio which was wonderful as I had the relaxing sound of the mill stream that runs behind the room. Secondly, the retreat is set in the most beautiful area two minutes from stunning views all along the coast. It is also a great place to do wild swimming which I did. Most importantly Angela is very good at creating a safe and fun space to explore and learn about mindfulness. You know you are in experienced hands.

Fantastic getaway! Highly recommended!
The hosts were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, incredible food, gorgeous accommodation (I stayed in the Dog House which was fantastic). Other people in the group were all lovely. Just a great experience.

Go on give yourself a retreat treat
Angela was very welcoming and whilst her tuition and guidance is very professional it is done in an approachable relaxed way that engaged everyone on the retreat.
The food was lovely and there's plenty of tea or coffee and home baking to keep you going between meals.
None of us knew each other when we arrived but the atmosphere set by Angela and Allie made it easy for us to gel as a group and enjoy each others company or have quiet time alone when we wanted it.
There are walks and spectacular cliffs with crashing waves a stones throw away not to mention a peacock or two strutting around outside.
I went home feeling relaxed, happy and looking forward to practicing my new skills

Mindfulness meditation in Nature
Angela and Ali our hosts went out of their way to look after us. They obviously love what they do and genuinely care about their guests.
Their house and the location were perfect for the retreat. The food provided was amazing at every meal. I felt nourished in mind and body.
The meditation teaching was excellent and the meditation sessions were very special whether in the beautiful long room in front of a log fire or outside beside the sea. Perfect.

The location was peaceful and tranquil with a lovely bedroom and delicious food.

Faultless!
Angela and Alistair are wonderful down-to-earth hosts. They welcome you with open arms into their beautiful home. There were three of us staying with them and another five attending the course on a daily basis. All attendees were friendly and interesting. The sessions provided an excellent introduction to mindfulness with on-going support, including meditations, to be provided over the coming weeks. Beautiful cliff tops with stunning views over the sea provide the perfect setting for learning the practice.
