Accommodation
The venue
Welcome to a charming 19th-century farmhouse, thoughtfully transformed into a serene retreat centre. Nestled within 80 acres of lush farmland, it offers a tranquil escape surrounded by olive groves and almond trees. The property is designed around a central courtyard, where soft music and a gentle breeze create a calming atmosphere.
Program
Embrace the balance
This yoga retreat is led by Margherita Dal Pra, the founder of YogaM ,and one of the most popular teachers in London, Michaela Shirandami
Margherita is a very experienced yoga and meditation teacher with nearly two decades of teaching experience. Her classes are a synthesis of Anusara bio-mechanical principles of alignment, along with heart-centered themes and the lineage and depth of knowledge of Tantric Hatha and energetics in the Rasa Yoga® style. Read more about her background here
This yoga retreat is open to all ages and levels of fitness and experience. Every session will have attention to detail (alignment), awareness of breath (pranayama), openness to grace (attitude), and intelligent sequencing (vinyasa krama). The morning yoga classes will be more upbeat and energizing, and the afternoon classes more relaxed.
All sessions will be adapted to the group, and modifications of the poses will be offered to cater to all participants and to ensure that everyone is receiving the benefits of the practice and individual attention.
Getting together
Spend leisurely afternoons unwinding: dive into a good book or take a refreshing dip in the infinity pool.
Visit nearby San Lorenzo to enjoy its white sandy beaches, or explore the Vendicari Nature Reserve, where you might spot flamingos. Mid-week, set off on a boat trip from Marzamemi to Capo Passero, with opportunities to snorkel (equipment provided) and swim in crystal-clear waters. Conclude your stay with an evening of wine tasting and a delicious dinner at a local vineyard.
Instructors
Margherita Dal Pra
Margherita’s unique teachings are grounded in the traditional lineage of Hatha yoga and the deep philosophy of Tantric practices married with the movement of soulful Vinyasa, the precision of Anusara, the dance of Rasa yoga—one of the most heartfelt synthesis of yoga, and the energetics of ParaYoga. She honors the traditions of yoga while awakening the true potential as an individual in the modern world. She hopes for each student to experience a journey that goes beyond the body and pierces deeply into the heart by weaving together asana, mantra, mudra, pranayama, meditation, and chanting.
