Nab Cottage is a beautiful 16th-century cottage. You can enjoy beautiful views of green rolling hills and expansive lakes all around you. The peaceful, tranquil setting makes Nab the perfect location for a rejuvenating and deeply restorative break to get away from it all.

The cottage is set in pretty and peaceful gardens and natural beauty. Take in stunning views over the Rothay Valley with the Fairfield Horseshoe and Nab Scar as a backdrop. Stroll into Rydal or Grasmere village during free time, go for a walk, and enjoy seasonal produce. Or simply unwind in the yoga space and chill-out areas: It’s up to you. Practice yoga in a beautiful barn.

You will have your room or share a double or twin room with your friend or another participant. All rooms are warm, and cozy, and have either an en-suite or a few rooms share a bathroom. Spend time in the front room with a roaring fire and views out to the lake.

All of your meals with be all together in the cottage dining room. You can help yourself with tea and coffee throughout the weekend. There is a hot tub in the garden to relax and unwind in.

Program

Escape to the enchanting Nab Cottage on the shores of Rydal Water for a three-day yoga, walking, and mindfulness retreat in the heart of the Lake District. Set amidst stunning views of the lake and mountains, this retreat is designed to help you relax, restore, and reconnect with yourself and nature.

Leave the hustle and bustle of daily life behind and join Sion for an uplifting, rejuvenating, and deeply restoring weekend retreat hosted by two experienced yoga instructors. Enjoy some time for yourself reconnect with nature and find your balance and ground with the natural rhythms of the season. Join for a truly indulgent break in a warm and cozy lakeside setting where you can be in good company and let go and immerse yourself in yoga and meditation practices. Come and enjoy a real seasonal treat!

The Weekend schedule

Arrival time is from 16:00 on the Friday. Rosanna and Sion will warmly welcome you at the cottage with an evening Hatha yoga class and meditation session so you can relax after your journey, followed by dinner together in the Cottage restaurant. On Saturday morning, there will be a Hatha yoga class and meditation to help you wake up and energize your body, center your mind, and feel refreshed for the day ahead, followed by a wholesome breakfast.

During the afternoon, there will be an optional day’s hike to Easdale Tarn, one of the lakes' much-loved wonderful walks where you will enjoy a healthy packed lunch and dip in the lake should you wish to! Or you can simply choose to relax and put your feet up at the Cottage or stroll into Rydal or Grasmere village and surrounding areas or have some quiet time in the yoga space.

On return to the hall, there will be free time, followed by an evening restorative yoga class and meditation to help you ease into your evening, followed by a delicious dinner in the cottage restaurant. On Sunday, you will enjoy a morning yoga class, followed by breakfast together, a mindfulness session, and an optional walk before the retreat finishes at 14:00.

The retreat is suitable for all levels of yoga practice, beginners, and those with more experience.

The retreat will take place in Cumbria, England, UK. Nab Cottage sits opposite Rydal Water and is a fantastic lakeside retreat hub. It is within easy access to Rydal Caves and a walk away from Ambleside and Grasmere town centers. You can wild swim in the lake and take in spectacular views all around you. It is located at the heart of the Lake District National Park, midway between Windemere and Keswick, making it easily accessible by car, bus, train, or coach.
