The yoga practices in this retreat focus on Yin yoga, Hatha yoga, Sound healing, and yoga Nidra to heal and rejuvenate you at every level. Yin yoga is a deeply relaxing form of yoga that restores energy and balances the body, working on tissues, joints, and muscles, as well as inner organs, while also enhancing mental flexibility and calming the mind.
Hatha yoga balances and strengthens the body´s muscles, tissues, ligaments, and joints, enhances blood circulation, and also provides a meditative movement flow. It strengthens and balances the mind and emotional body and brings more focus and clarity.
Sound healing balances and harmonizes dispositions at a cellular level, affecting the whole physical body with certain healing frequencies, such as 528 Hz, which transforms and repairs DNA, and 396 Hz, which liberates from fear and guilt. These and other healing frequencies make sound healing, rooted in ancient wisdom, essential for people worldwide.

Carolina Smedberg
Carolina is the founder of Glow Yin Yoga and a dedicated yoga teacher specializing in customized yoga teacher training programs. Her teaching journey began with a master’s degree in physical education, followed by her yoga teacher training in Goa, India, in 2020. Since then, she has been passionately teaching Yin, Hatha, and Vinyasa yoga. Carolina's mission is to guide others on their transformative journeys through yoga, fostering personal growth and hosting practices for this, such as yoga, sound healing, Yoga Nidra, manifestation, and self-healing courses.
Melissa Van der Sar
Melissa is a Dutch native, was a resident in the UK for over four years, and is now living in Goa, India. Her first Yoga TTC was in 2019 after having fallen in love with Yoga in 2016, and she never stopped learning. Her passion is Yin Yoga, and she also teaches Hatha Yoga, Yin/Yang Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Meditation, and is a certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) trainer. She loves singing and, as a kirtan host and mantra singer, she often chants soothing mantras in her classes to help you tune in with your heart and connect with the divine within yourself.
Maria Hansen
Maria’s approach to teaching emphasizes creating a safe and inclusive environment where students can explore their practice at their own pace. She believes in guiding her students to find balance, strength, and inner peace, both on and off the mat, integrating the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of yoga. For Maria, yoga is a path to deeper self-awareness and well-being, and she is honored to support others on their journey.
Retreat location
At the beautiful countryside venue in Sweden, GlowYinYoga will host their Yogaretreats, where you can practice Hatha yoga, Vinyasa yoga, and Yin yoga. The Retreat center is located in a tranquil and picturesque Swedish village, surrounded by fields, hills, and forest. You will stay at their amazing farmhouse mansion in beautiful Västergötland in the Swedish countryside.

They have a small Ayurvedic spa, a beautiful, peaceful garden, and a little cosy Cafe only 2 km from the venue. There are lakes nearby and a river to swim in on hot days or take a sunset dip.
