D'vine Yoga School

D'vine means brahman, the absolute, the supreme reality, or higher consciousness. Yoga means union - to be one to merge with the higher consciousness, allowing your individual self to dissolve into the higher universal self. It means to be aware of your lower and higher tendencies in order to be aware of individual and universal dimensions of yourself.

D’vine yoga is an inner journey:

  • From confliction to connection
  • From reaction to response
  • From duality to non-duality
  • From individual self to transcendental self
  • From darkness (tamas) to light (sattva)
  • From ignorance to wisdom
  • From lower-self to higher-self
  • From close being to openness
  • From small mind to big mind
  • From meditativeness to equanimity

Kundalini yoga

Kundalini is a form of divine feminine energy located at the base of the spine in your root chakra (muladhara chakra). This concept of kundalini comes from Shaivism (Lord Shiva). It is believed to be a force of power associated with the formless aspect of the divine feminine goddess.

When this energy gets properly cultivated and awakened in your body through some of the ancient Hatha yoga and Tantric techniques, it will lead you to fulfillment and spiritual liberation.

This technique was very well-practiced around the eighth and ninth centuries in one community called Natha. It also used to be practiced in the ancient Vedic system, and in modern days, it is also being practiced in many schools of yoga, such as the Bihar School of Yoga.

Kundalini can be awakened by various methods through Hatha yoga, meditation, breathing techniques, pranayama, chanting mantras, and yantras.

For ages, yogis, seers, sages, gurus, and enlightened masters have been practicing yoga to generate a tremendous amount of energy to bring a complete transformation within themselves, finding a deeper connection and enhancing the spiritual process.

What is Kundalini yoga?

Kundalini is the feminine, creative, evolutionary force of infinite wisdom that lives inside everyone. Usually represented as a snake coiled three and a half times around, Kundalini lies dormant at the base of the spine. It is the primordial energy that one should never mess with.

The awakening of one's Kundalini is a by-product of spiritual growth and takes place at higher spiritual levels. The practices in the path of deliberate rigor include breathing exercises (pranayama) and yogic exercises with other spiritual practices.

The Kundalini energy lives in the subtle body, along with the chakras and the nadis. The subtle body also contains your energetic imprints, your mind, and patterns of energies, plus any emotional blocks.

Kundalini is a Sanskrit word that literally means coiled. It is present in every being and is an absolute reflection of the infinite energy force (called cosmic energy or supreme contentiousness or pool of transcendence) that keeps the whole universe in order. It is based on the exploration of the seven chakras in the body.

Yogi Bhajan quote

"Kundalini yoga consists of active and passive asana-based kriyas, pranayamas, and meditation that target the whole-body system (chakras, nervous system, and glands) to develop awareness, conciseness, and spiritual strength." - Yogi Bhajan
