Instructors
Kelsey Koontz
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, USA, Kelsey has been teaching since 2017. She holds her E-RYT200 certificate and is also a certified Budokon mixed-movement instructor. She holds her "white belt" in NIA (somatic, nonimpact aerobic movement) and is a practitioner of contemporary dance and BJJ. Kelsey’s teachings are often informed by her own survival story. Her intention is to show her students that they are not defined by their circumstances, and to remind them of their capacity to renew themselves. Her mission is to transform pain, individual and collective, into hope & connection.
Cat Boal
Born in Yorkshire, UK, Cat first came across yoga through the form of Bhakti (devotional chanting) in India in 2013. She went on to study traditional hatha yoga and now holds certificates in embodiment facilitation, yin yoga and reiki. Blending these expressive and therapeutic practices in community is her biggest love. Inspired by the natural world and animism - grounding in the mystical and mythical and nurturing our interbeing to those around us, Cat offers a space for somatic discovery where the focus is on the process over destination and honouring the wisdom each body holds.
Retreat location
Bryn Llys is a comfortable, spacious cottage nestled in the ancient woodland of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia), close to the small village of Bethesda. It’s surrounded by mountains, rivers, and waterfalls, with nature felt in every direction. Inside, there’s a large open room for yoga, movement, and coming together as a group, with space for up to 12 people to stay. Walking trails and wild swimming spots begin nearby, and there’s plenty of quiet space to rest, reflect, or explore the onsite ten acres of gardens, woodland, meadow, and lake.
