AYM School Rishikesh is located in soothing and serene surroundings of Himalayas which is a wonderful view to have in Rishikesh. It is set back in the stunning location of Tapovan, Rishikesh and is surrounded by beautiful mountains, waterfalls, and supreme tranquility. For your intensive yoga teacher training, there is a beautiful bright studio with big windows on all sides where you can enjoy the panoramic view of the breath-taking mountains and hills surrounding the accommodation.
All 30 of the rooms at the ashram are new and comfortable. They all come with an attached private washroom as well as warm water. All rooms will have a wonderful, big window facing towards the mountains. The room has air-conditioning, filtered water system, bed sheets, pillows, towels, blankets, and en-suite bathrooms.
Ashrams usually represent a return to a simpler way of living, which is very different to a hotel. Generally, there is a more communal atmosphere and often an expectation that guests will pitch in with whatever they need to do.

Overview
This 500-hour yoga training course in India at AYM is a highly structured, challenging, two-month course. It provides complete knowledge of yoga asana from the basic to advanced levels. It includes classes in meditation, pranayama, asana (Hatha yoga, Ashtanga yoga, and multi-style yoga), yoga philosophy, yoga therapy, and human anatomy.
This 500-hour yoga training gives you the credibility, in-depth knowledge, and confidence to begin your classes as an advanced-level yoga teacher. Your asana practices are bound to get better and better with each day of the training sessions. This course deepens your understanding of the human body's anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology aspects. This further helps you to develop an effective yoga therapy sequence according to the requirements.
Practicing asanas with a group of yoga aspirants like you from diverse backgrounds is an experience that will broaden your vision. The teachers always focus on bringing the best out of you.
Overview of syllabus
Since this is a merged program of 200 and 300-hour yoga teacher training courses, the curriculum is vast and advanced. The practice sessions are deep and intensive, which is beneficial for you to perfect your existing yoga practice.

The yogic philosophy
Here, you will learn the history of yoga, the various paths of yoga, Patanjali Yoga Sutras, etc.
Asana
Yoga postures are taught in various styles (Hatha yoga, Ashtanga, Kundalini, Sivananda, Power, flow, Iyengar style, etc.)
Yoga therapy
Sessions are planned in the second half of the 500-hour course on yoga therapy for the management of common diseases, etc.
Pranayama
Here, various types of breathing exercises are taught practically. It includes Ujjayi, Anulom Vilom (alternate nostril breathing), Bhramari, Sheethali (cooling pranayama), Sheetkari, Bhastrika, Surya Bhedana, Chandra Bhedana, etc.
Meditation
Various methods of meditation are taught here (e.g., chakra meditation, breath-based meditation, nada meditation, etc.)
Anatomy sessions and alignment classes
These sessions give you an idea about the structure of the human body and the effects of yoga on the body system like the muscular system, skeletal system, respiratory system, etc.
Yoga teaching techniques
Through these various techniques, you can manage a group of people when you conduct your yoga sessions. You will be taught how to guide your students effortlessly to get into an asana, also on creating an effective yoga sequence for your sessions, etc.
Eligibility
A dedicated mindset to learn yoga is required to join this course. If you are looking for a one-time course to learn the basics of yoga to the advanced level, then this course is for you.
Evaluation process
At the end of each module, a written exam needs to be given (mostly open-book exams). This helps you to retain knowledge.
There are practice exams that are conducted during the yoga alignment classes.

Instructors
Yogi Chetan Mahesh Ji
Yogi Chetan Mahesh Ji was born in a Vedic family where all the members used to chant Vedic mantras and practice yoga daily. In 1984, he became the champion of yoga sports in Haryana Province. In college, he studied the bio-science stream with yoga as an optional subject and also the master of education which gives him an upper hand while teaching and explaining yoga anatomy and physiology. He finished a Master of Science degree in yoga in 2003 and engaged in imparting yoga teacher training. He became the founder secretary of the Association for Yoga and Meditation in 2005.

The price of the package includes three daily meals (except for lunch on Sunday). The food provided is nutritious and is prepared in consideration of the requirement for the course and for a healthy mind and body. The food is pure vegetarian and is prepared hygienically. The meal is served three times a day which are breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Unlimited and a variety of yogic food is served to the students during this course. For refreshment and good health, herbal tea is provided three times a day.

Arrival by airplane
Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) is the entry point to India for every international flight. As there is no direct flight to Rishikesh, you need to take another flight to Dehradun Airport (DED) to reach Rishikesh if you wish to travel via airplane. Upon arrival at Dehradun Airport (DED), you will need to fetch a taxi to AYM School Rishikesh.
Arrival by bus
To reach Rishikesh from Delhi via bus, you need to go to an ISBT bus stand. The bus ride will take around seven to eight hours.
Arrival by train
If you wish to travel by train, you will need to take a train from Delhi Railway Station to Haridwar. From there, you can fetch a bus to Rishikesh. The distance from Haridwar to Rishikesh is approximately 29 kilometers.
Arrival by taxi
AYM School Rishikesh can arrange a pickup from Delhi or Dehradun Airport (DED). The cost of taxi transfer from Delhi is 80 USD per person per way for a private transfer and 60 USD per person per way for a shared ride. From Dehradun Airport (DED), the taxi pickup is 20 USD per person.
