Casa Surrender is a truly magical place where you feel at home straight away. All rooms have their own ensuite bathrooms and beautifully styled and decorated with love and care. There are three cabins on the land for an optimal nature experience, three rooms in the main house, and three rooms in the pool house. On the property is a large outdoor yoga deck under the shade of trees, an indoor yoga space, a pool with sun chairs and multiple secluded corners in the shade to relax. Casa Surrender borders the Natural Park of Almijara, where you can go for long or short walks.

The program is designed to balance the nervous system and support self-inquiry and growth. The Deep Reset unfolds through a progressive journey of daily themes, each one building upon the last. In the first few days, you’ll be guided inward - connecting to your current reality through grounding and listening. As the week evolves, the focus gradually turns outward, inviting contained expansion, authentic expression, and the joy of being.

Program details
- Grounding yoga: Start each day with a yoga session, a harmonious blend of gentle breathwork and somatic yoga practices. These sessions will be crafted to balance your nervous system, create clarity in your mind, and cultivate inner strength, setting a grounding tone for the day ahead.
- Silence: Moments of silence and stillness - whether in meditation, reflection, or nature - allow for deep rest, heightened awareness, and a reset of the nervous system. What may seem challenging at first often reveals unexpected depth and clarity.
- Explorative workshops: This retreat offers space for personal reflection and transformation. Enjoy late afternoon workshops that fuse yoga with dance, voice work, sound baths, reflective writing and guided meditations. You’ll explore new perspectives and gain insights that will stay with you long after the retreat ends.

What else to expect
To keep the retreat intimate, Yogari only has 10 spaces available. This allows for plenty of personal attention during the practice sessions and has group discussions where everyone has the opportunity to be heard and seen.
This retreat is transformational. Yogari will create a space where you can dive deep into yourself. Willingness is more important than having an advanced physical practice. Having taught mixed-level studio classes and 1:1 sessions for many years, both Ellen and Peter are skilled at accommodating a wide variety of bodies and abilities. The sessions will be accessible to established beginners, as well as intermediate and advanced practitioners.
Included excursions
There are walks available into the natural park from Casa Surrender. Peter and Ellen will take you on a group hike through a beautiful small canyon.
Instructors
Peter Roussel
Peter is a yoga teacher from Manchester, UK. In an attempt to recover from stiffness and tension in his body, he followed an advice to do yoga. In 2001, at age 23, he did his first teacher training in Byron Bay. After that he spent years teaching yoga in different places around the world. Currently, he is based in The Netherlands. In his classes he reminds practitioners to focus on the breath so they can find for themselves the right depth and level of effort to work with in that moment. He enables people willing to do the work to become empowered and independent beings at their own pace.
Ellen Paalman
My journey into movement and body awareness started at a young age through dance. My transition into yoga came naturally, as I sought a deeper connection between movement, breath, and inner balance. In 2011 I did my first Teacher Training and began a new chapter in my life - choosing to follow my passion to support people on their journey back to themselves. In my classes, I weave together classic yoga principles, body awareness practices, breathwork and free movement. My sequences are designed to regulate the nervous system. My teaching style is gentle yet grounding meeting you where you are.

The foot relief massage is a grounding and deeply relaxing treatment.
Head, neck, and shoulders massage for brain energy | 20 minutes | 40 EUR
The head, neck, and shoulders often store tension from posture, work focus, and mental stress. This 20-minute brain relief massage, based on MER (Myofascial Energetic Release) and Thai massage techniques, stimulates circulation to the head, refreshing the mind and bringing immediate energy and clarity. The massage is given fully clothed.
Private yoga session with Ellen | 60 minutes | 50 EUR
Ellen is a trained yoga therapist, specialized in improving wellbeing and offering self-management tools for people in all kinds of conditions. A private session during the retreat can be especially supportive if you would like: Extra guidance on a personal question, specific support for an injury, tailored practices to continue your journey after the retreat
