Join Yogaji in the nature of Southern France to realize yourself, as the yogi you are, and as the teacher you will become. Yogaji offers a deep and special training. Your daily life and practice will be similar to the life in an ashram so you can find your center. You will be given well-founded teaching to find your inner guide and become a great yoga teacher and encouraged to practice daily and to show persistency. The teaching is traditional and lays great emphasis on personal integrity, intention, and spirituality. The training is open to beginners and leads them up until the high level of a 500-hour Yoga Alliance certification. You will read the traditional texts and discover their meaning. You will be hosted in a small group of houses and Yogaji always do their best to make you feel at home. You will be all there to grow in true yoga and not for having holidays only. The accommodations are comfortable but are still not a hotel. So according to your booking and availability, you will sleep in dorms.
A real mattress, good blankets, and a pillow will be provided. The sleeping area is shared. You are also sharing a toilet and a bathroom, and you will have an extra dry toilet and an outside shower to enjoy the view. It might be challenging for some students, but it is a great way to practice detachment-aparigraha and improve your contentment capacity-santosha.
Please no phone during lunch, silent breakfast, yummy food, laugh, and jokes to lift up the mood, study and practice, group discipline, and punctuality.

Certifications
Students who complete their training are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®)
During the course, Yogaji will encourage you to read the four classical texts of Hatha yoga, which they will provide as a gift. They will also discuss The depth of Yogic Philosophy and take different texts as references. These texts are Gheranda Samhita, Yoga Upanishads, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the Gita and an overview over Vijnana Bhairava.
You will have days off and time to read. At the end of the course, you will enjoy having a small written exam that will test your knowledge about the teaching. Upon completion of this yoga teacher training, students will receive the rare 500-hour certificate affiliated with Yoga Alliance. Registration with Yoga Alliance provides a globally recognized credential.
You will have an early daily practice with other students while following the rhythm of Yogaji studio. Around brunch time, you will be allowed to have some rest before you continue with your class. Yogaji’s program can be viewed on the Yoga Alliance page under Durga-Ji Yoga. Yogaji follows the standard of Yoga Alliance and enriches it through their experience. Their goal is to share unique gifts, that contain secrets that remain unspoken while giving you all the necessary knowledge as a yoga teacher.

The schedule may be modified if necessary and is just a guideline. Every week there will be one day off. During the course, you will be encouraged to read some fundamental texts of yoga. In the weekend, you will be having a written exam that will test your knowledge about the teaching.
On weekends, they may offer a group activity depending on the season, such as sound bath, cold river bath, Thai massage, heart coherence.

Instructors
Julie Giacomini
Julie is the founder of Durga-Ji, Hatha Yoga Center, and of the Kids Yoga French Federation. Julie is an experienced yoga teacher. She has been running the center and conducting training courses since eight years ago. She devotes her life to yoga. After having followed the path of law, so to become a jurist, she finally chose the path of yoga to help people in perceiving consciousness. Her teaching combines true and traditional yoga with the interrogation of modern society. She welcomes you with warmth, love, joy, and presence.
Damien Dupuis
The main teacher is Damien Dupuis, he is an osteotherapist and a certified 200-hour teacher. He has been practicing heart coherence for 15 years and is an expert on how to bring action and emotion into balance. Through his unique approach, he developed a yoga therapy teaching in the same lineage as the Yoga Skyros school which initiated him to yoga therapy.
Retreat location
This 500-hour yoga teacher training is located on a small mountain in Ardeche, South France, surrounded by some neighbors, forest, rivers, vineyards, and the sky. The neighbors are French and are only three families. Outside, they have a big garden where you will find fig trees, blackberries, grapes, and a great landscape. You will enjoy the peace of the mountain and the relaxed, pure nature lifestyle of an ashram.

Food
The food is daily prepared by those who are in the food seva. They change the seva regularly so that everyone has the chance to feed his friend one day. The meals are always vegetarian (which implies no animal) meals, as it is very important to practice compassion with animals by not harming them and to control one's own desire to eat meat, especially for a teacher of yoga. Ahimsa-non violence means to accept not to kill a living being so to feed oneself. The food is always great, tasty, and lovely. You will be invited to share a mantra before the lunch to celebrate this moment.

Please book your flight to arrive at Lyon-Saint-Exupery Airport (LYS). Airport transfer is not included in the price. To arrive by train from the airport, you can take a train to Valence. Yogaji can pick you up at the Valence train station for 10 EUR or you can also take a bus from there to Duniere sur Eyrieux where Yogaji will pick you up to go to the center.
