During this yoga training, you will stay in a comfortable room at Tapovan Vatika Resort, an ideal hotel to relax and enjoy in nature. The accommodation is facilitated with air-conditioning, and Wi-Fi connection. However, please note that Yoga Vidya Mandiram School provides the accommodation for a student who joins yoga classes. Any friends or relatives will not be included in the accommodation.
There are two room options available for this course: single private room and double shared room. The rooms are equipped with double beds, air-conditioning, and Wi-Fi connection. All rooms are shared with the same gender. Mother and daughter, wife and husband can share their rooms. The bathrooms are equipped with hot showers and towels.
This teacher training is a multi-style program for beginners with basic knowledge of yoga. After the completion of the course, the students will be given a certification of the completion of the 50-hour yoga training program from Yoga Vidya Mandiram School. This 50-hour yoga teacher training will be held by experienced reputed meditation guides and the team of accomplished yoga teachers.
The teachers and guides include an Ayurvedic doctor, who feels privileged to share his/her knowledge and practice of ancient traditions with modern elements of medical sciences (yoga anatomy and physiology). This training program aims to provide a solid foundation in different aspects of yogic disciplines, that prepare you to apply for the 200-hour yoga teacher training program.
In addition, this 50-hour yoga training program includes mantra recitation (mantra - Japa), daily joints and glands practices (granthi - vimochana - kriya), yoga postures (yoga asanas), meditative steps of doing asanas, six cleansing exercises (shat karma), science of breath (pranayama), yoga energy locks (Bandha) and yoga gestures (Mudra), meditation (Dhyana), yogic sleep (yoga Nidra), history and philosophy of yoga (yoga Darshana), yogic anatomy and physiology of human body, basic principles of Ayurveda, asana alignment practicum classes, yoga teaching practice, and teaching methodology.
It is advised that you arrive at the yoga school one day before the program.
You will have the opportunity to explore the surroundings and visit the nearby holy shrines.

Yoga Acharya Jagjeet is a saintly personality by birth. He was blessed to have taken birth in a spiritual family. He has been practicing and teaching yoga for more than 11 years. He feels fortunate to have Acharya Karamveerji (Swami Ramadeva’s guru brother) as his yoga guru. Even after acquiring skills in yogic therapies and doing meditation in the Himalayas, he had an urge to go deeper, in order to gain more awareness of yoga therapies; as a result he opted to learn and work enthusiastically on Shatkarma.
Swami Omkarananda, grew up around the great lady saint of India, Ma Anandamayi. He studied and lived with six enlightened masters: Swami Dayananda Saraswati, Swami Veda Bharati, Swami Chidananda Saraswati, Dalai Lama, Lung Chu, and the master of masters, Kalyan Babaji of Himalayas. Academically, Swami Omkarananda holds a degree in Electronic Engineering, along with five master's degrees and a PHD in Metaphysics. Swami Atma Jnanananda Giri is a sadhaka from Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama, Rishikesh, who by profession is a homeopathic doctor, learnt meditation techniques from his guide and teacher, Swami Veda Bharatiji. Now he delivers his lectures and classes on meditation, mantra chanting, yoga Nidra, and philosophical texts, such as Bhagavad-gita and Patanjali Yoga-sutras. Acharya Sudhir Agasti, is a very experienced and an influential guide of yoga and meditation, follower of Swami Rama of the Himalayas and the direct disciple of Swami Veda Bharati. Born in a spiritual family, he grew up and was trained by his parents in disciplines of yoga and spiritual life. He is designated as an E-RYT 200, and RYT 500 from Yoga Alliance (USA), and a certified Master Yoga Teacher of 500-hour from Yoga Alliance India (YAI). Acharyaji also holds his academic education of MA in Yoga from Jain Vishva Bharati University, Rajasthan.
This yoga teacher training will be held at Yoga Vidya Mandiram Yoga School, Rishikesh, India. The yoga school is located in the heart of the sacred township of Rishikesh, on the bank of the holy river Ganges and at the foothills of the Himalayas, the abode of yogis. Please book your flight to arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), from where you can take a domestic flight to Jolly Grant Airport Dheradun (DED). Another option is to book your flight directly to arrive at Jolly Grant Airport (DED).
Taxis are always available anywhere in India. The drive from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) to Rishikesh will take around six hours depending on traffic conditions.
Buses to Rishikesh leave New Delhi from the Kashmiri Gate national bus stand approximately every hour. The bus ride takes about eight hours and costs around 450 INR for air conditioned buses and 250 INR for buses without air conditioning.
The best option is to reach Haridwar train station, about 45 minutes away from Rishikesh, by road on a driven taxi or the so called tuktuks. From Delhi, the train ride takes approximately eight hours, depending on the train. Haridwar is serviced by many trains from and to Delhi, Varanasi, Rajasthan, Amritsar, and many others.
