Are you a yoga teacher seeking an inspiring refresher course? Or are you craving a deep yoga immersion? Join the next Refresh Retreat at Vikasa Yoga Retreat, Koh Samui, Thailand. The 100-hour Refresh Retreat is designed for yoga practitioners, students, and teachers who seek a deeper understanding of their learning path. Sign up early to enjoy huge savings on tuition. Enjoy a strong daily practice in a lush tropical setting designed for evolution. This course is a 100-hour immersion, suitable for teachers or anyone who practices regularly.
Vikasa offers several types of accommodation, ranging from simple eco-friendly bamboo bungalows to full-sized hotel-style rooms. It is not a one-size-fits-all kind of place. The range of accommodations allows for a wider range of students to attend the course.
Rooms celebrate simplicity, with minimal decorations. There are no TVs or fancy mini bars filled with chocolate and alcohol, but hopefully, that’s not what you’ll come here for. It is a relaxed establishment where you can unplug and reconnect to something deeper in a meaningful way. As you will notice, some of the room options have a “+” which means they are a little bit bigger or nicer than the standard category.
A few tips for choosing your perfect room: If you like to stay close to the beach, check out our red-roofed Prana Cabanas. If you prefer a garden location with a village feel, try the Zen Bungalows. If you don’t want to walk down too many stairs, the Yoga Caves could be a good option for you. If you need a bit of extra space and a central location, the Lotus Pads are a good place to start.
The course/hours count as Continuing Education hours for Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®) only.
Vikasa means evolution when translated from Sanskrit. The Vikasa yoga method is based on individual evolution and development. Nature is in a constant state of change. The primary goal is evolution, and yoga can be seen as a tool to facilitate that. The Vikasa yoga method is an integral system of yoga based on classical Hatha yoga lineages, with some influence from Himalayan Buddhism and Taoism practices. The method is based on universal rules of yoga that ultimately allow the practitioner to develop highly intelligent and mindful practice. The training starts with a physical foundation, evolving into energetic, mental, and emotional development.
The curriculum for the 100-hour refresh retreat is based on the fundamentals of our famous 200-hour yoga teacher training. The complex 200 hours worth of training was boiled down to the bare essentials, giving the student a chance to experience some of the topics you would normally cover in an efficient and approachable way. Daily asana and meditation practice give a grounded sense of routine, while specific lectures and workshops allow for more focused learning.
Due to requests from the YTT graduates for a refresher course, this new approach is to brush up on your skills, get back on the mat, and refresh your practice.
Have you already completed yoga teacher training in the past and would like to refresh your experience? Or maybe you simply crave a deep immersive experience with a like-minded student community? This course is a 100-hour immersion, suitable for teachers or anyone who practices regularly. The curriculum includes a balance of asana, pranayama, and meditation, as well as lectures, workshops, and time to enjoy the island.

Kosta’s journey into yoga has taken him to the far reaches of the world, from remote Himalayan ashrams, to his initiation by a master monk in a sacred Sak-Yant ceremony in Thailand. His passion has led him to search out for his own personal development throughout the world. Kosta's years of worldly experience have led to deeper understanding of yoga as a personal journey and spiritual evolution.
When Niki first discovered yoga she fell in love with the way it moved her closer to her inner self. From that day, her life changed completely. Yoga has taken her on a beautiful journey from Sweden into the world. She now travels the world teaching classes, workshops, retreats, and training in Thailand, India, Australia, and Europe. Niki believes that yoga can be life-changing, both on an individual and a collective level. With yoga, you can find your way back to yourselves, to discover who you truly are, and from there, your potential is limitless.
Michael Lazano first came to yoga as a means for increasing flexibility, but after discovering how much more there is to yoga, quickly fell in love with the practice, which actually happened on a visit to Vikasa for a yoga holiday; he came back and completed both his 200 and 300-hour teacher trainings here, before eventually returning permanently, to live in beautiful Koh Samui and take a place on the Vikasa team. Although Michael only found yoga later on in life, in many ways he was born into the lifestyle, and raised as a vegetarian with a strong spiritual and moral compass.
While initially drawn to the physical aspects of yoga, Michael remains stimulated by the interplay between the physical practice and the more spiritual, inner journey that can be opened up by the physical practice. In pursuit of this interplay, Michael teaches strong and flowy Vinyasa classes focussed both on correct alignment and intuitive movement and also facilitates discussions and lectures on emotional intelligence and personal development.
