The Source is partnered with The Spa Resort (Beach), a newly built modern health resort right on the beachfront in Lamai, 750 meters or a 9-minute walk from The Source Center. Their guests stay here and do the advanced detox program while enjoying all the health and spa treatment facilities provided on site.
The rooms are of a high standard, and all the onsite health activities outlined and included in your program are available there for you to enjoy each day. Choose your room from the selection of modern-style furnishings and layout.
The resort's facilities include the famous Spa Lazuli with private spa rooms as well as outdoor massage shalas. Separate men's and women's herbal steam rooms, fitness center, swimming pool, and more, including the world-famous Radiance health restaurant.

Daily Activities
The Source Herbal Detox shows you the best and most productive / effective times of day to do exercise that they recommend and you can do these freely to your own time schedule as you wish. They also show you the best type of exercises to do and ones to avoid.
They can discuss with you when you arrive about what you want to achieve the most and tailor your program to achieve that. They can also provide information and a natural health plan regarding individual ailments or health problems that you may have and want to address and resolve.
The daily schedule is simple and flexible.

A daily schedule may look like this:
Morning:
- Fruit juices or fruits etc.
- Herbal formulas
- Morning yoga class
- Exercise: Sea or swimming pool, or outside fitness activities (beach walk/run etc.) or gym room exercises.
- Spa treatments (herbal steam room, Thai massage)
Midday:
- Fruit juices or fruits etc.
- Rest / free time
Afternoon:
- Fruit juices or fruits etc.
- Herbal Tonic Drinks (liver rebuilder & small intestine cleanser drink)
- Exercise: sea or swimming pool, or outside fitness activities (beach walk/run etc.) or gym room exercises.
- Spa treatments (herbal steam room, Thai massage)
- Specialist Acupressure / Chiro massage treatment with Master Lee (1-2 per person per week).
Evening:
- Fruit juices or fruits etc.
- Rest / free time
You will have a good amount of free time and because our program does not use colonics you are not tied to the retreat and are free to go out around the island freely if you desire. It is a good time to allow your body to rest and restore.
Other activities like Muay Thai boxing etc. are available in the local area.
FAQ's
- Q. Will one be hungry if they only take the herbal formulas and drink juices or eat whole fruits all day?
No, because the herbs and the juices or fruits provide your body with so much natural nutrition and daily energy that many people are very surprised that they do not feel hungry at all like they thought they would.
- Q. Will you have good energy levels each day?
Yes, because the herbal formulas and the natural foods diet (juices, whole fruits etc.) are providing better nutrition for your body than a person’s normal diet. Many people are very surprised by how much energy they have during the program and are able to work out daily in gyms etc. too.
- Q. Does one have to do colonics?
No, you don’t need to do colonics on the program as you will use a superior herbal intestinal formula called ‘Flow’ (capsules) that does a much better and healthier job to cleanse and rebuild the intestines and colon, and it is much less invasive too.
- Q. How much weight will one lose?
The average person loses 2-4kgs (4-9 lbs) in 7 days. Over 14 days it can be anywhere from 4kg-8kg. The weight loss can continue even after the program has finished with some customers reporting back that they lost an additional 4+ kgs over several weeks after finishing the program. This is due to the effect that the herbs have on the ‘inner terrain’ of the body. Using proper herbal formulas can have long lasting effects including greatly reducing the desire for eating junk foods which many customers report.
- Q. Will one be sick or experience nausea or any other harsh detox reactions with the program?
No. The herbal formulas are very potent yet very stable and do not cause any harsh reactions. They are gentle yet effective. Herbal formulas that are too aggressive or unbalanced would never be a good idea and no toxic herbs are ever used in any of our formulas either as this would never make sense. If the formulas detox you too quickly you can just reduce the dosage down to a more comfortable level but this is very rare.

The Source Herbal Detox grows the herbs and make the formulas for the last twenty years in Ireland. They also source a few rare herbs from around the world to complete some of the formulas. They are handmade and are of greatly superior quality to anything made commercially.
They are the original formulations / recipes of The Western Herbal System (herbal medicine) which originated in Germany in the early 1900’s as they were the experts in herbs. This system is long established as safe and effective.
- Q. Are there any unnatural, synthetic or chemical substances in any of the formulas?

Master Lee
Master Lee is a master of his craft and an acupressure specialist of the body. He studied ancient Chinese Acupressure "Nerve Art Massage”, Wushu (Chinese Martial Arts), and Tai Chi in a monastery in China for over 4 years. He then studied in Tibet for 2 years meditation alongside Tibetan Monks while studying Vipassana Meditation and Indian Head Massage. His Acupressure treatment is similar to Chiropractic treatment as he adjusts all the bones. He is highly skilled in his practice of body/bone adjustment treatment as well as Chinese Cupping and is considered to be one of the best in his field.
Retreat location
The Source Herbal Detox Center is located in Lamai, which is a town in the southeast corner of the island. It is a quieter area than the main town of Chaweng (in the north near the airport). Lamai has one of the best beaches on the island, with white powder sand and excellent swimming. You will easily find The Source, as they are directly on the main island road.
Crystal Bay Beach
Crystal Bay Beach is one of the best beaches on Koh Samui and is just 1 kilometer / 9-minute walk from The Source. It is an excellent beach for swimming.

About the ‘Detox Daily Diet’ choices
On the program, you choose what to eat / drink each day from their four suggestions. Choose between:
- Juice fast
- Whole fruits
- Combination of juices and fruits (all are included in Program A and B)
- Raw / healthy food (available in the health restaurant but not included)

Chinese cupping is a traditional time honored therapy that is safe, comfortable, and an effective treatment for many health disorders. It is a very long established therapy used in traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for many health conditions.
Glass cups are placed on the skin with vacuum suction and causes the blood to be drawn to that area of the skin. This cupping therapy stimulates the blood circulation in this area which also influences the flow of Qi meridians (energy pathways) throughout the body.
It is used to treat colds, lung infections, and problems in the internal organs too, as well as to treat muscle and joint pain and spasms, particularly in the back. The process leaves round red marks (raised) where the cups were. These marks will disappear within a few days.

Chinese Acupressure / Chiro Massage
This specialist treatment uniquely combines both chiropractic adjustments with traditional Chinese acupressure massage. It is a full body treatment and bone and joint adjustments.
Chiropractic adjustments help physically realign the physical anatomy structure of the body (especially after any injury), while the acupressure massage helps improve the circulation of blood and energy flow towards the treated areas. There is just no substitute for a proper anatomical adjustment of the physical bone structure. It can work wonders.
After any injury, the bones / joints need to be checked that everything is in place properly, this is an important issue so that the injured area heals properly going forward and restores to full use / condition the same as before the injury. The combination of chiropractic adjusts and acupressure treatment help the body stay in correct form and alignment for much longer.
This is not ‘acupuncture’ which uses needles, he does not do that therapy.

Please arrange your flight to arrive at Samui Airport (USM). Koh Samui has an international and domestic airport. Alternatively, Surat Thani airport (URT) is the closest international and domestic airport on the mainland to Koh Samui.
Bangkok Airways has direct flights to Samui Airport from:
- Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai (1 hour)
- India, Maldives, Vietnam - fly to Bangkok, and then fly to Ko Samui (1 hour)

Arriving by ferry
You may also choose to travel by bus / train / car from the closest city on the mainland, Surat Thani. From there, make your way to the Phantip travel agency in Surat Thani town center or directly to the ferry wharf to purchase your ticket to Koh Samui.
There are various travel ticket counters at the airport where you can purchase your ferry ticket to Koh Samui. The ferry ticket includes a coach transfer from the airport or town to the ferry pier.
Depending on which ferry company you travel with, you will arrive at different piers on the island.
