The Journey
Over 10 days in the Sacred Valley, the retreat unfolds as a carefully guided journey, moving from arrival and grounding, into deep ceremonial work, integration, and sacred exploration. Each step is designed to support your inner transformation while being held in a loving, intentional container.
Day 1: Arrival, Opening Circle and Despacho Ceremony
You arrive in the Sacred Valley and settle into the retreat space in Pisac. After lunch, we open with a group circle, setting intentions and connecting as a community. In the evening, we participate in a Despacho ceremony - a traditional Andean ritual of gratitude and reciprocity with Pachamama, opening and blessing the energetic container for the journey ahead.
Day 2: Preparing for Ceremony and Ayahuasca Ceremony
Morning pranayama and gentle yoga prepare the body and mind for deeper work. You are introduced to the Chakana, the Andean cross that guides the cosmology and wisdom traditions of the Andes. In the evening, we enter the sacred space of our Ayahuasca ceremony, held in a safe, experienced, and deeply respectful ceremonial setting.
Day 3: Integration and Reset
After the ceremony, the day is dedicated to gentle integration. Through sharing circles, Yin yoga, and free time, you are fully supported in processing insights and allowing the experience to settle naturally within you.
Day 4: Sacred Valley Exploration and Inner Work
The day begins with breathwork and breakfast before we visit the powerful Inti Huatana sacred site, connecting with the ancient energies of the Andes. In the afternoon, movement practices and transformational workshops deepen the integration process.
Day 5: Huachuma Pilgrimage to Kinsa Cocha
You will journey into the high Andes for a sacred pilgrimage to Kinsa Cocha, a breathtaking mountain lake. Guided by Huachuma (San Pedro) medicine, this is a heart-opening, clarifying, and deeply healing day in nature - one of the most profound experiences of the retreat.
Day 6: Integration and Exploration
After the ceremonies and pilgrimage, we create spacious time for rest, exploration, and integration. You can wander the Sacred Valley, journal, rest deeply, or simply sit with the land.
Day 7: Temazcal Ceremony and Heart Opening
The day opens with pranayama before we enter the Temazcal - a traditional sweat lodge purification ritual. In the evening, you will gather for Kirtan and ceremonial cacao, opening the heart through music, devotion, and community.
Day 8: Silence and Self-Reflection
- A silent morning walk in nature invites deeper listening and presence. The afternoon holds space for workshops and self-inquiry practices to deepen personal insight.
Day 9: Integration and Personal Time
A day of optional activities, rest, or personal exploration in the Sacred Valley. Time for insights to settle, breathe, and become yours.
Day 10: Closing Workshops, Sound Healing and Closing Circle
Gather for the final workshops, anchoring the lessons and insights from the retreat. In the evening, a breathwork and sound healing journey integrates the full experience, followed by our closing circle, where we honour the journey, each other, and the new version of ourselves we are stepping into.
Departure: Afternoon of October 11
Program Details
The Ceremonies and Experiences
Despacho Ceremony
An ancient offering to Pachamama (Mother Earth) and the Apus (mountain spirits). A local shaman carefully arranges grains, sweets, and sacred coca leaves into a mandala of prayers, blessings, and reciprocity with nature. The bundle is offered to the fire, carrying your intentions into the spirit world - opening and blessing the container of your journey.
Ayahuasca Ceremony
Step into a night of deep transformation and healing with an Ayahuasca ceremony held in a sacred and safe environment with experienced facilitators. Known as the "vine of the soul," Ayahuasca has been used for millennia by indigenous traditions for spiritual and emotional healing - allowing you to journey inward, illuminate subconscious patterns, release past wounds, and open a path to self-discovery, clarity, and renewal.
Huachuma Medicine (San Pedro)
Join a sacred pilgrimage through the majestic Andean landscape, guided by Huachuma - a master plant known for its heart-opening, clarifying, and deeply healing effects. This journey invites you to shed old layers, connect with nature in its purest form, and receive profound insights into your life's path.
Sweat Lodge (Temazcal)
Step into the sacred womb of the earth. Guided by fire, water, and the wisdom of ancestral traditions, this ceremony is a powerful rebirth experience - as the heat rises, toxins leave the body, and you are invited to release what no longer serves you, emerging lighter, stronger, and more connected.
Kirtan and Cacao Ceremony
Ceremonial cacao opens the heart and activates the senses. Amplified through Kirtan - devotional call-and-response chanting rooted in the Bhakti Yoga tradition - together we dissolve barriers, open our voices, and move into a state of pure presence, joy, and devotion.
Sound Healing Journey
Immerse yourself in a vibrational symphony of healing with gongs, singing bowls, and sacred instruments designed to realign your energetic body. Sound waves release tension, clear stagnant emotions, and return you to a state of deep balance and renewal.
Deep Breathwork Sessions
Your breath is your greatest healer. In this guided breathwork session, intentional breathing techniques help you release stored emotions, clear mental fog, and tap into higher states of awareness - resetting your nervous system and reclaiming your inner power.
Daily Yoga, Meditation and Pranayama
Each morning begins with a grounding practice of yoga, breathwork, or meditation - awakening your energy, quieting the mind, and setting the tone for the day. Suitable for all levels.
Integration, Workshops and Coaching
Transformation is about grounding insights into real life. The integration sessions and workshops merge spiritual awakening with practical clarity - covering burnout prevention, purpose mapping, aligned living, and 1:1 coaching support to help you take your insights home.
Sacred Trip to Machu Picchu (Optional Add-On for 450 USD)
For those who wish to extend their journey, Soulful Solutions offers a fully arranged Machu Picchu experience as an optional add-on. Retreat location
Why Peru: A Portal to Remembrance
There are places on Earth where the veil feels thinner. Peru is one of them.
For centuries, seekers and wisdom keepers have come to the Andes for guidance, healing, and transformation. Yet what makes Peru extraordinary isn’t only what you see… It's what you remember when you stand on this sacred land.
In the high Andes near Machu Picchu, time bends. The ancient stones still hum with the intelligence of the Inca civilization. The Apus: the sacred mountain spirits, stand as guardians of the valley. The air is thin, the sky vast, and something inside you begins to quiet.
The Sacred Valley is not simply a beautiful landscape - it is a living temple. For thousands of years, Andean wisdom keepers have practiced Ayni (sacred reciprocity), Munay (heart-centered love), and Yachay (inner knowing). These teachings are not philosophies here - they are ways of being.
Peru invites you to:
- Slow down enough to hear your soul again
- Release what no longer belongs to you
- Remember your connection to Earth, spirit, and community
- Stand between ancient wisdom and your future path
The land itself becomes part of your transformation. The mountains reflect your strength. The ceremonies awaken your heart. The stillness reveals your truth. This is not just a retreat destination. It is a pilgrimage to remembrance. If you feel the call of Peru, it may already be calling something forward within you.

Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport

Your journey will begin in Lima, Peru. From there, you have a choice to travel by bus or by airplane to Cusco, the closest major city to the Sacred Valley and the arrival point for most international travelers. Please plan to make your own way to the retreat center in Pisac on October 2, 2026.
Arrival by plane
Fly into Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport (CUZ) in Cusco. From Cusco airport, it’s approximately a one-hour drive to Melissa Wasi Retreat Center in Pisac. Since Cusco is a smaller airport, all international flights first land in Lima, Peru (LIM), where you will take a domestic flight to Cusco.
Once you arrive in Cusco, Soulful Solutions will help arrange a private taxi to take you to Pisac, a 45-minute scenic drive through the Sacred Valley. They recommend arriving at least one day early (October 1, 2026) to acclimate to the altitude before the retreat begins on October 2, 2026. For your departure, the retreat ends on October 11, 2026, so you may book a flight home that evening or the following day if you'd like extra time to explore. Need assistance with flights or travel logistics? Soulful Solutions is happy to help.
Arrival by taxi
Taxis are readily available at the airport, or Soulful Solutions can help you book a trusted private taxi in advance for 25 USD. If you’d like assistance arranging your taxi, please let them know at least three days before arrival. They recommend arriving in Cusco by late morning or early afternoon on October 1 to settle in and adjust to the altitude.
The route to Pisac is scenic and safe, with winding roads through the Andes and beautiful views of the valley. Once you arrive at Melissa Wasi, you’ll be warmly welcomed into a peaceful and nourishing space where your journey of remembrance begins.
