Mount Madonna Center
Mount Madonna Retreat Center is located on a peaceful 355-acre mountain-top redwood forest and grassland located between Santa Cruz and Monterey. This peaceful haven is a place where you can step back, slow down, and reconnect to your center, to nature, and to a more authentic flow of life.
Enjoy the beautiful hiking trails, lake, and hot tub, as well as the Buddhist temples and structures.

About the Program
You will have as a theme, "the center pole." So often life throws you off balance. This retreat will help you to align the center and re-find your core.
The weekend will consist of Feldenkrais® lessons, yoga, laughter, connection, meditation, movement classes, nature, as well as personal and spiritual growth classes. All classes are optional. You will also have plenty of free time to relax around the retreat center’s natural settings, spend time journaling, hot tubbing, or sipping on a cup of tea.
The weekend will be structured with classes and workshops but there will also be free time to enjoy the surroundings or simply relax. Please note all of the classes are optional yet strongly encouraged. Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out is from 11:30 or 12:00.
Body
You will be guided through daily yoga and somatic movement classes to improve your flexibility, strength, and alignment.
Mind
You will learn practices to shift emotional and energy blockages release negative beliefs and social conditioning and reconnect to the wisdom of your heart.
Spirit
Through meditation, grounding, and centering yourself in a natural setting, you will have the opportunity to reconnect to the truth of who you are.
What is Feldenkrais?
The Feldenkrais method®, emphasizes the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. You will be guided through gentle movement sequences which have an extraordinary effect on adapting the nervous system towards its optimal state. The method is great for easing body aches and pains and helping you to regain clarity, focus, and direction. Most people leave the retreat with their spine in greater alignment, standing taller, and feeling more focused, and clear.
As a result of the yoga and Feldenkrais, you may:
- Free your body from stiffness, aches, and pain
- Improve your skeletal alignment, flexibility, and physical mobility

Instructors
Shara Ogin
Shara Ogin started her profession as an occupational therapist in 1994. Since then, she has focused on a career with a holistic approach integrating Feldenkrais, clairvoyance, and life coaching, helping thousands of people over the past decade to free their bodies of pain and live happier healthier lives. She is the author of four videos on fitness and pain management techniques and her newly released book, "Unlocking the Body's Wisdoms; Accessing Your Healing Powers from Within", about the mind and body connection and its relationship to the human's pain states.
