The house: Oikia Karapanou
Oikia comes from the Greek word, which means both “house” and “home”. It is, above all, a house with a soul. It is somehow the ‘essence’ of a house, surrounded by an enchanted garden. Nothing in it is formal, nothing is standardized. Oikia Karapanou is not a hotel, nor is it a seminar ‘factory’. It is a real house. Simple, spacious, poetic, refined. Awareness and Transformation Retreat: Much more than a yoga retreat
SATI Dynamic offers you a 7-day unique experience on Aegina island, Greece. A sensory awareness training retreat to energize, relax, regenerate, and take you closer to your forgotten nature. The retreat will take place at the Oikia Karapanou, a beautiful mansion from the 19th century, surrounded by a huge garden close to the sea. The residence has been restored to provide an atmosphere of peace and inspiration, an oasis on the soul’s journeys.
The practices/workouts/meditations will be held in a space full of energy that will recharge, reconnect, and inspire you.

Evi Choutou
Graduated in Architecture and Urban Planning, she is a Bio-Architecture and Feng Shui consultant, naturopath, holistic nutritionist, kinesiologist, yoga and personal trainer, philosophical practitioner. Passionate about functional training and expressive art therapies. Author and editor for the wellbeing magazines Piubenessere and Consapevolezza dinamica, examines thoroughly everything that can raise the quality of life. Creator and founder of SATI Dynamic (Sensorial Awareness Training and Inspiration), a method to train awareness on all levels, holds workshops and retreats worldwide.
Retreat location
The island of Aegina is truly charming, its wide horizons are suffused with Attic light, where sunshine-filled days are passed in the sea, on the beaches, and enjoying the atmosphere of the lively tavernas, cafés, and nightlife.
The port
The port, just four kilometers from Oikia Karapanou, is fronted by beautiful neoclassical houses whose balconies overlook the harbor and its vibrant social life. Zorba, the Greek, was written here by the famous author Katsantzakis, who chose Aegina as his home from 1931 to 1946, contributing to the aura of its intellectual, artistic, and cultural life. He wrote, in 1933: “Divine are the days here…”

Driving directions once you get to Aegina Port
- If you are driving, turn right at the harbour exit, pass in front of all the shops and cafes, and continue straight ahead, with the sea on your right hand, for about 3 kilometers.
- You will see a small chapel by the sea. Across the chapel is a main road, at a right angle to the one you are on.
- Turn left onto this road and drive on for about 500 meters, pass in front of a small garage on your right, and 50 meters further up, just before an old gate opening on a pine tree wood, turn left into a tiny road.
- Drive to the end of this road and pass between two stone pillars: you have arrived.
- Beware of the cats and dogs, they are friendly but easy to run over!
