Yogic discipline and a recommended code of conduct are expected from all students. Samadhi Yoga Ashram has the following disciplinary rules for participants.

  • Smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited in the ashram
  • Inform the kitchen manager in advance if you have a fast on any day to avoid food wastage
  • Always maintain discipline within the premises and be respectful to the teachers by obeying all the rules
  • Maintain punctuality and arrive on time for the classes - latecomers will not be permitted to join sessions
  • Return books, maps, or any goods which you might have borrowed from the institution
  • Samadhi Yoga Ashram offers accommodation only for its students who join yoga courses, not to friends or family
  • Complete attendance is compulsory in all the scheduled programs of the Samadhi yoga ashram

You will be served three nutritious vegetarian meals per day and tea included in the price. Samadhi Yoga Ashram understands that, along with being one of the important energy sources for the body, food can be one of the major factors that maintain a good state of physical and emotional well-being. Nutrition is well beyond the yogic standpoint of just filling oneself with food because it defines the energetic quality of the food itself. A well-integrated yoga practice needs nourishment from all walks of nutrition and, therefore, forms a priority to think about the quality and origin of your meal.

They shall also be happy to offer you Sattvic cuisine, fully vegetarian-only; no animal product is used, hence nothing harming animals in the process. How to get there

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Dehradun Airport (DED). Transfer from the airport is included. Transfer to this airport from the school is offered at an additional cost of 18 USD. Transfer from and to Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) is also offered at an additional cost of 72 USD. Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) is 250 kilometers from the ashram, but there is a direct flight to Dehradun Airport (DED) and from there by taxi, it is 15 kilometers.

Arrival by bus

You can also reach Rishikesh by bus from the Interstate Bus Terminus in Delhi. Take a Volvo or any luxurious coach from Delhi to Rishikesh, but a bus journey can be very tiring.

Arrival by train

You can also take the train from Delhi to Haridwar, which is 25 kilometers away from Rishikesh. Haridwar is linked to many major cities in India.

Arrival by taxi

You can request Samadhi Yoga Ashram for a taxi to take you directly from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) to the ashram, which costs 80 USD. Samadhi Yoga Ashram can also send a taxi to pick you up from the bus terminal. From Haridwar, you can hire a taxi or Samadhi Yoga Ashram can also send a taxi to pick you up on request in advance. The taxi charges from Haridwar to Rishikesh will be 20 USD. You can also hire an auto-rickshaw for the Lakshman Jhula, but then you have to walk across the Jhula until you arrive at the ashram premises.
