13 Day 100-Hour Yoga and Ayurveda Teacher Training in Rishikesh, India
Yoga and Ayurveda Teacher Training in India
Yoga and Ayurveda have been associated with each other since time immemorial. As we all know, yoga combines our body, mind, and soul to bring them into unison. When the body becomes pure, it has a positive effect on the mind and thoughts and thus brings a person closer to his/ her soul. Ayurveda plays an important role in healing and maintaining the body in a perfect receptive state, where the human body can derive many benefits of yoga through a perfect state of mind. With the never-ending bond of body and mind, the bond of Ayurveda and yoga also becomes never-diminishing. And this is the reason why Samadhi Yoga Ashram brings you an introductory 100-Hour Ayurveda yoga TTC to get familiar with the concept of Ayurveda, its effect on body and mind, and its relevance to Yoga Sadhana.

- 05:30 Morning bell
- 06:00 Classical asana practice
- 08:00 Pranayama and mantra chanting
- 09:15 Breakfast
Afternoon Schedule
- 11:00 - 11:45 Yoga Therapy
- 11:45 - 12:30 Yoga Anatomy

- 16:15 - 18:15 Ayurveda theory and practice
- 18:30 - 19:30 Meditation
- 19:45 Dinner
- 21:00 Lights off
Each day begins with the morning bell at 05:30, followed by a classical asana practice that awakens and energizes the body, preparing it to receive the day's teachings. This is followed by pranayama and mantra chanting, where students work with sacred breathing techniques and sound to purify the energy channels and cultivate inner stillness before gathering for a nourishing Sattvic breakfast.
The academic portion of the day begins with Yoga Therapy, exploring how yoga practices can be applied therapeutically to support health and healing, followed by Yoga Anatomy, where students deepen their understanding of the body's physical and energetic systems, including the digestive, respiratory, circulatory, and nervous systems, as well as the nadis and chakras. After lunch, students return for Yoga Philosophy, drawing from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the history of Indian philosophy, and the classical texts of the yoga tradition.
The highlight of the afternoon is the dedicated Ayurveda Theory and Practice session, the heart of this unique course. Here, students explore the foundational principles of Ayurveda, including the concept of the five elements, the three doshas of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, the seven body elements, Ayurvedic nutrition and the six tastes, Sattvic diet, and the deep connection between Ayurveda and yoga as sister sciences. Each day closes with a peaceful meditation session before dinner and lights off at 21:00, ensuring students are fully rested and restored for the following day.
Throughout the 13-day program, students also participate in special experiences including weekend excursions, a Himalayan cave meditation trip, Indian classical dance sessions, and free cooking classes, all of which enrich the overall learning experience and bring the teachings of Ayurveda and yoga to life in a joyful and meaningful way.

Included excursions
The 100 Hour Ayurveda Yoga Teacher Training at Samadhi Yoga Ashram includes a thoughtfully selected set of excursions and special experiences that extend the learning journey beyond the classroom and yoga hall. Even within the 13-day program, these excursions are woven into the schedule to connect students with the sacred natural environment, spiritual culture, and healing energy of Rishikesh and the surrounding Himalayas, enriching the overall Ayurvedic and yogic experience in a deeply meaningful way.
Himalayan Cave Meditation Trip
One of the most unique and memorable experiences included in the program is the Himalayan cave meditation trip. Students venture into the ancient mountain caves where great yogis, sages, and Ayurvedic masters practiced deep meditation and healing for thousands of years. Sitting in stillness within these sacred caves, surrounded by the pure silence and powerful energy of the Himalayas, is a profoundly rare experience that deepens the understanding of the mind-body-spirit connection that lies at the heart of both Ayurveda and yoga.
Weekend Excursions
Weekend excursions are organised during the course to allow students to explore the spiritual, cultural, and natural treasures of Rishikesh and its surrounding areas. These outings offer a refreshing and inspiring break from the intensive daily training schedule while keeping students immersed in the sacred atmosphere of the region. They also provide wonderful opportunities for the student community to bond and share experiences outside the classroom.
Indian Classical Dance Sessions
As part of the cultural enrichment woven into the training, students participate in Indian classical dance sessions. Deeply rooted in ancient devotional tradition, Indian classical dance is connected to the expression of inner energy and the celebration of life, making it a natural and joyful complement to the holistic healing principles of Ayurveda and yoga. These sessions bring lightness, creativity, and a sense of community celebration to the overall training experience.
Free Cooking Class
A free cooking class is included as part of the program, giving students a hands-on and practical experience of preparing traditional Sattvic and Ayurvedic cuisine. This class is particularly meaningful for students on the Ayurveda Yoga course, as food is one of the most fundamental pillars of Ayurvedic healing. Students learn about the six tastes, the qualities of different foods, and how to prepare nourishing meals that balance the doshas and support the body's natural healing intelligence. This knowledge is something students can carry directly into their daily lives and teaching practice long after the course ends.
Free Himalayan Tour
A free Himalayan tour is also included in the program, taking students on a scenic and spiritually uplifting journey into the majestic Himalayan landscape surrounding Rishikesh. The Himalayas hold a sacred place in the tradition of both yoga and Ayurveda, and experiencing their grandeur and pure natural energy firsthand adds a deeply inspiring and grounding dimension to the overall training experience.
