Program
Certification
Students who successfully complete the training are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).
The curriculum is designed following Yoga Alliance standards. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be qualified to register as an RYT 300. If you have already received a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification before this course, you will qualify for RYT 500 accreditation.
While a 200-hour yoga teacher training is a popular choice, not many continue to pursue an advanced certification. Taking this 300-hour training will help you transform into a yoga teacher who stands out from the crowd.
During the six-week training, you will deepen your knowledge of yoga philosophy, anatomy and physiology, teaching methodology, the yogic lifestyle, and more. Their hands-on approach will give you profound insights into yoga through direct experience.
- Cultivate awareness - learn to recognize and familiarize inner silence through daily meditation
- Gain deeper wisdom - study ancient yogic philosophy to support your journey toward the goal of yoga
- Level up your teaching skills - build confidence in combining asana and pranayama for an optimal balance of body and mind
- Move beyond asana - gain hands-on experience teaching other aspects of yoga, such as advanced pranayama and meditation
- Embody the yogic lifestyle - spend six weeks in their peaceful private beach resort, immersed in the study and practice of yoga
- Feel the benefits of healthy eating - fuel your body and mind with wholesome plant-based meals
- Cultivate loving kindness - realize the softness of being, becoming more gentle with yourself and others along the way
During the training, you will participate in a week-long silent retreat, which enables sincere students seeking transformation to experience the depth and power of introspection. Their approach to yoga philosophy is closely integrated with the yoga practice. You will study the roots of the traditional and dynamic Hatha, while also practicing Pranayama and advanced mudras to embody the knowledge of these ancient practices.
Participants will refine their teaching skills through a collaborative approach designed to build confidence in leading classes and workshops. They will deepen their understanding of asana instruction and receive training in presenting philosophical concepts with both passion and clarity. The program also includes a thorough exploration of anatomy and the physiological processes relevant to yoga practice.
At One Yoga, they emphasize the cultivation of a strong sadhana through a daily routine that supports both personal and spiritual growth, while also nurturing aspiring teachers to become both inspiring and knowledgeable.
What Makes This Training Special?
“True yoga is not about the shape of your body, but the shape of your life. Yoga is not to be performed; yoga is to be lived. Yoga is designed for a vast and profound purpose, and for it to be truly called yoga, its essence must be embodied.“ - Aadil Palkhivala.
Only studying the theory of yoga is not enough. To fully understand yoga, it needs to be experienced. Therefore, this training is highly practice-oriented, dedicating many hours to the exploration, embodiment, and integration of yogic wisdom. Where other programs only scratch the surface, this 300-hour yoga teacher training takes you on a deep dive.
Although you will have some free time to explore the island, they recommend staying on campus as much as possible to experience the profound benefits of an ongoing practice. Taking this time to “retreat” from the outside world will help you deepen your awareness, cultivate focus and discipline, and start looking for true happiness within.
Who Is This Training For?
This advanced training primarily targets teachers who have already completed a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training and possess a genuine eagerness to teach while continuing to learn and practice with interest and passion.
If you have not completed a Yoga TTC before and still want to join the course, please inquire with One Yoga first.

Responsible tourism
Thai people are known for their understanding and warm hospitality, but it is important to be mindful of certain cultural taboos and social norms:
- Respect for the Monarchy: Always show reverence towards the royal family. It is a serious offense to disrespect them or objects depicting the king, such as currency.
- Temple etiquette: Wear clothing that covers your knees and shoulders when visiting temples. Remove your footwear before entering, and sit with your feet tucked behind you, ensuring they do not point towards any Buddha images. Women should avoid touching monks or their belongings, give way to them on pathways, and refrain from sitting next to them on public transport.
- Modesty at the beach: Avoid public nudity or topless sunbathing. When heading to or from the beach, ensure you are appropriately covered.
- Body language: The head is considered the highest and most sacred part of the body, so avoid touching anyone’s head. Conversely, the feet are viewed as the lowest and should not be pointed at people or sacred objects.
- Saving face: Thais deeply value politeness and composure. Smiling is an excellent way to win people over, as visible anger or arguments can cause embarrassment.
- Respect and protect the environment. To conserve the pristine nature of Koh Phangan's beaches and jungles, they encourage you to avoid using plastic bottles and bags if possible - rather, bring your own reusables.
By respecting these cultural conventions and adopting sustainable practices, you will not only enrich your travel experience but also show gratitude to the warm and welcoming Thai people. A few kind words in Thai will go a long way, too.
Passport / visa information
Most passport holders are eligible for a standard 30-day visa exemption upon arrival in Thailand, free of charge and without the need for prior application. However, they recommend checking with the Thai embassy or consulate in your home country to confirm if this applies to you. You can also refer to the official Thai immigration website or your government’s travel advisory site for up-to-date information.
If you wish to stay longer than 30 days, you can apply for a 30-day extension at the local immigration office on the island. The fee for this extension is 1,900 THB. Alternatively, you may choose to apply for a tourist visa at a Thai embassy before your arrival. Please note that undertaking a "border run" to extend your visa is not possible during multi-week retreats.
Travel insurance information
You are responsible for arranging their own travel, including flights, visas, and travel insurance. One Yoga Thailand strongly recommends purchasing travel insurance that covers trip cancellation and travel disruption, including illness.

Arrival by airplane
Please book your flight to arrive at Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) in Bangkok. From here, there are several options.
The fastest and most convenient way to reach us is by flying to Koh Samui (USM). Bangkok Airways offers frequent daily flights from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) to Koh Samui, with a flight time of around 60 minutes. Limited flights are also available from Don Mueang Airport (DMK), as well as from Phuket (HKT), Singapore (SIN), and Hong Kong (HKG), though these routes operate less frequently. You may also find combination tickets to Koh Samui from your departure city through certain airlines.
Once you arrive in Koh Samui, you’ll need to take a ferry to Thongsala Pier on Koh Phangan. The one-way fare is approximately 350 THB, with services offered by Lomprayah and Seatran Discovery. Tickets can be booked online in advance or purchased at the airport, where taxis to the ferry pier are readily available.
Alternatively, you can fly from Bangkok to Surat Thani Airport (URT), the closest mainland airport to Koh Phangan. While this route takes longer than flying directly to Koh Samui, it can be more budget-friendly depending on the season.
Daily flights from Bangkok Don Mueang Airport (DMK) to Surat Thani are available through Air Asia and Nok Air, while Vietjet Air operates direct flights from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). The flight takes approximately 60 minutes.
From Surat Thani Airport, you’ll travel by bus to Donsak Ferry Port - about a 90-minute journey. You can purchase combination bus + ferry tickets either online in advance or at the airport. Ferry services to Koh Phangan are provided by Raja, Lomprayah, and Seatran, with ticket prices ranging from 600 to 1500 THB, depending on the operator. The ferry ride to Koh Phangan takes roughly 2–3 hours.
Arrival by bus
Several bus services operate between Bangkok and Koh Phangan, with most being air-conditioned sleeper buses. Tickets can be purchased either online, through travel agencies in Bangkok, or directly at the central bus station, Sai Tai Mai. Prices typically range between 1,000-1,700 THB, depending on the operator and ticket type.
The bus journey to Donsak, the ferry port for Koh Phangan, takes roughly 10 hours. From Donsak, the ferry ride to Koh Phangan takes approximately two to three hours. In most cases, the ferry cost is included in the bus fare.
Arrival by train
Trains depart from Bangkok multiple times each day from Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal Station, with a travel time of approximately 12 hours. Some services offer sleeping booths with air conditioning for added comfort. Train ticket prices vary by service class, starting at around 1,000 THB for a second-class sleeper ticket. Tickets can be purchased in advance online or at the train station.
Upon arriving at Surat Thani station, the transfer to Donsak Pier by bus or taxi takes around one hour. From Donsak pier, the ferry ride to Koh Phangan takes approximately two to three hours. Combination bus + ferry tickets can be purchased online in advance, costing between 500-900 THB, depending on the ferry operator.
Arrival by taxi
Once on Koh Phangan, taxis are readily available at Thongsala Pier. Ask the driver to take you to One Yoga in Srithanu; taxi fares are approximately 200-300 THB per person.
Planning your trip
We strongly recommend booking your local travel tickets in advance, as transport schedules can be limited and subject to change. Please also allow extra time for potential delays, especially during peak travel seasons.
