Incredible yoga retreat
The three days we spent with Radesh and Nandana with my father were simply wonderful. A pause in a busy life, an invitation to ponder on our ways of thinking and operating in our modern societies. Everything was tailored to our needs, the yoga sessions were instructive and the meditation was eye opening. We highly recommend this authentic retreat !

A wonderful 2 days in Kandy
The yoga retreat was wonderful. We really enjoyed the whole experience. The yoga was gentle and just at the right level. The yoga philosophy really interesting. I recently had the privilege of attending a 2-day yoga and meditation retreat in the heart of Sri Lanka's lush jungle, and it was truly a transformative experience. Nestled amidst the verdant foliage, the retreat center provided a serene and peaceful environment that allowed me to disconnect from the world and reconnect with my inner self.
The retreat began with a gentle introduction to yoga and meditation, led by experienced instructors who tailored the sessions to suit all levels. The yoga practices were thoughtfully sequenced, focusing on breathwork, alignment, and relaxation. The meditation sessions were equally impactful, guiding us through various techniques to calm the mind and cultivate mindfulness.
The surroundings played a significant role in enhancing the experience. The jungle's natural beauty, with its vibrant greenery and soothing sounds of wildlife, created a perfect backdrop for introspection and self-discovery. Each day, we would take short breaks to explore the nearby trails, immersing ourselves in the sights and sounds of nature.
The accommodations were simple yet comfortable, with clean rooms and delicious, healthy meals that nourished both body and soul. The staff were warm and attentive, ensuring that every need was met with care and kindness.

Don't miss this chance
We spent two unforgettable days at the retreat, immersed in yoga, meditation, Tai Chi, Ayurvedic and yoga philosophy, and deep human connection. Although we initially planned to stay for three days, we could only enjoy two full ones. Still, Radesh kindly adapted everything so we could make the most of each moment. His warmth, generosity, and ability to hold space for others was a gift. He even drove us to the train station to help with our tickets—a truly wonderful human being.
During the retreat, we had profound yoga and meditation classes, transformative talks with the meditation teacher and therapist (Nandana) and with Radesh and personalized Ayurvedic treatments from the doctor and his lovely family. Walking through the forest, surrounded by nature, was healing in itself. Every detail was taken care of with so much love.
Nandana guided us with calm and dedication in meditative movement, helping us reconnect with our bodies and silence and guiding us in psychology. Each person we met added to the beauty of the experience. Special thanks to Sunil and Ayurvedic doctor and family too. We wish we could have communicated better with them.
We leave this place filled with peace, gratitude, and a deep sense of connection—with nature, ourselves, and those who made this journey so meaningful. Thank you for everything. We carry you in our hearts.

Amazing stay
We had a truly beautiful experience at the retreat. The yoga sessions with Mr. Radesh were thoughtfully adapted to our needs, allowing us to feel comfortable and supported throughout. We also had the chance to learn many new things, both on and off the mat, which enriched our overall experience.
Mr. Radesh - an absolutely magnificent person. He was always present, ready to help with anything, and brought so much warmth and kindness to our experience. I genuinely have no words to express how remarkable he is.
Mr. Sunil took excellent care of us from the moment we arrived until the very end of our stay. He was always attentive and did his best to ensure we had everything we needed or asked for.
The retreat is surrounded by lush nature, and the constant sound of birdsong creates a serene and peaceful atmosphere. Practicing yoga outdoors in the fresh air was absolutely incredible — a highlight of our stay.
It was a truly lovely and rejuvenating experience. Highly recommended!
We learned so many new things — not just about yoga, but also about ourselves.

Super experience
Super séjour. Cours de yoga matin et soir avec un professeur tres attentif et pédagogue qui a prit soin de nous tout le séjour. On a souhaité inclure des visites de Kandy tout a était pris en charge et réservé par les hôtes avec un guide tuktuk adorable qui nous a fait visiter plusieurs lieux magiques hors des sentiers battus. Cours de cuisine inclus dans la prestation, géniale. Consultation et soins ayurvediques avec massage réalisé par un couple tres sympathique! Je recommande , durée de 3 jours pour l'inclure dans ses vacances!😁

Great experience in an natural surrounding
The place is situated in a jungle oasis close to kandy. The teacher are really authentic and life their life’s according to yoga and Buddhist philosophy. I had a great experience and could deepen my practice with Nandana and Radesh.
The food was delicious and home made. I was also taken to places if I needed something or was interested in an location in kandy. All together a great experience.

Schöner Garten und direkt an einem Wäldchen. Viele Vögel und Äffchen. Für Kandy relativ ruhig. Aber man hört den Verkehr schon noch in der Ferne. Die angebotene Ayuveda Massage (muss zusätzlich bezahlt werden) war sehr interessant und an einem netten Ort im Freien. Dafür kommt eine Ärztin. Ich vermute aber auch das hier extra Geld verlangt wird, da ich nicht an die Ärztin zahlen durfte.
Der Lehrer Radesh ist super nett und hat sich sehr große Mühe gegeben, mir vieles ausführlich erklärt und mir so einen tieferen Einblick gegeben, was eigentlich alles hinter dem wort yoga steht. Auch die Citytour mit ihm war interessant.

We extremely enjoyed our stay at nelum niketana.
The Yoga and Meditation Sessions gave a good insight. We especially appreciated the personal approach of both teachers and the deep and inspiring talks we had with them.
The Ayurvedic Treatments were super enjoyable and we felt extremely good taking care of.
The food is just excellent, and presented with loads of love. no words needed more to explain.

Very friendly and helpful staff.
The food was excellent with curries that we’re still a bit spicy. Massage daily was also excellent. 2 yoga sessions with an outside instructor was good because he responded to my previous experience and challenged me. I had an interesting trip to the temples on a tuk tuk one morning.

A perfect place to calm down
Get away from the noisy traffic in the center of Kandy and relax in this little paradise. This place in the forrest is full of positive energy and the surrounding is stunning. The yoga lessons, the food and the ayurvedic treatments were excellent. However the real added value are Nananda and Radesh, who made my stay an unforgettable and educational experience. Excellent relaxation while also learning a lot
The morning yoga sessions were incredible. Very personalized and really pushed you to get to that next level. I also loved the afternoon chigun sessions and therapeutic yoga, which were relaxing but I also learned a lot from these. Finally, the evening meditations were fantastic. Mr. Nandana walked through the meditation at a good pace but also afterwords took the time to explain some of the reasoning behind various types of mediation, both from a psychological perspective and a Buddhist perspective. Fascinating to have those conversations and see how the yoga and meditation can work together. Finally the location is great. You’re really tucked into the forest so it is very peaceful. Waking up to sunlight and beautiful birds, plus an incredible breakfast prepared by Sunil, who was an excellent cook and very helpful throughout my time there.

A fulfilling experience
All of the people working there were wonderful, each one listened to my needs and together they seamlessly provided an exceptional experience. The quality of the meditation and yoga instruction was very high and the Ayurveda treatments were excellent. The meals were well prepared, delicious and there was more than enough. We ate, practiced and had treatments outside, surrounded by beautiful flowers, singing birds, as well as the sound of silence - all of which made the experience exceptional and impactful. I appreciated the natural setting, felt well cared for, and cared about. For anyone looking for a down to earth retreat focussed purely on improving your well being, this is the place to go.
