Braziers Park is a community, a residential college and an architectural treasure hidden deep in the South Oxfordshire countryside in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It was founded in 1950 as an educational trust. Community members share responsibility for running the mansion house (a Grade II* listed building), 55 acres of land, organic kitchen garden and livestock, facilitating courses and organizing events assisted by visiting volunteers from around the world.
Rooms & accommodation
Guests stay inside the Braziers Park mansion, a historic country house set within peaceful Oxfordshire countryside.
The rooms are simple, comfortable and full of character, reflecting the building’s heritage and natural charm. Some rooms feature hand basins, while bathroom facilities are shared and communal.
Accommodation is available as single or shared rooms, offering a relaxed, cosy and community-style stay in a calm retreat setting.
Program
Yoga, meditation, and mindfulness
The program offers mixed yoga fusion classes, such as Hatha, Sivananda, and Ashtanga. Ladan Soltani really works with the feel of the group and meet the needs and requirements of her class participants, adapting with modifications or more challenging versions of the postures for those who want the option. Every individual gets personal attention and adjustments.
The morning sessions will be more energizing and the evenings will be more restorative with guided meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, and relaxation (yoga Nidra). Ladan will be putting on a yoga workshop for strengthening up your core and back care. Please bring your own yoga mats.

Driving direction from London

- Turn left onto the A4074 towards Reading.
- After about five minutes, ignore two left turns signposted Ipsden, the next left turn at the bottom of a hill a few seconds later is for “Braziers Park” indicate early and turn left there.
- This will bring you to Braziers’ front entrance.
Driving direction from Reading
- Follow signs for Railway station and Caversham, over Caversham Bridge, then first left onto the A4074, signposted Oxford.
- Follow this road for around 15 minutes passing two signs for Woodcote on your left.
- Then, on a downward hill with open views, you will see a parking layby with an airfield sign on the left and a ‘vehicles turning’ sign
- If there is traffic behind, it is a good idea to start indicating right here.
- You will then see a signpost for Braziers Park right turn, ignore the right turn immediately before the Braziers sign (if you accidentally take this turning into Bottom Lane then continue to the first left up a passable rutted track and follow this a few meters to Braziers Park entrance on the right).
- The lane is narrow with high verges and no footpath please expect pedestrians.
Driving directions from Oxford
- Follow signposts out of Oxford to Henley-Wallingford-Reading (A4074).
- Continue through Wallingford following Reading signs.
- Around five to seven minutes after Wallingford, you will pass two left turnings to the village of Ipsden both should be ignored.
- Soon after at the bottom of a steep downward hill, there is a signpost to Braziers Park left turn, indicate early and turn into the narrow lane leading to Brazier Park, beware of pedestrians especially at night.
Driving direction from West
- Take the M4 eastward
- At junction 12, take the A4 towards Theale and Thatcham
- Straight on at the first roundabout on the A4
- At the 2nd roundabout, take the A340
- Travel through Tidmarsh, Pangbourne, and Lower Basildon to Streatley
- At the traffic lights (noticing the Bull Inn of ‘Three Men in a Boat’ fame), turn right across the Thames into Goring
- Go through Goring, over the railway and turn left at the T- junction
- After about half a mile, look for a right turn signposted Ipsden and then a left turn similarly signposted after a similar distance then straight on to Braziers Park.
- The route goes over a couple of hills and round some wiggles and then straight on at the crossroads and straight over the A4074 into Braziers Lane, which takes you directly to Braziers Park.
Beware of the road from Goring as it is subject to subsidence, so drive slowly and avoid potholes.
Car parking is at the owners’ risk. The speed limit is 5 miles per hour on the driveways. Parking charges may be considered necessary for large groups and events.
Arrival by airplane
Please book your flight to arrive at either London Heathrow Airport (LHR) or London Gatwick Airport (LGW) as they are the closest airports. For more info regarding transfers from the airports, please kindly send Ladan Soltani an inquiry.
Arrival by bus
The Braziers Park stop is located between Woodcote and Wallingford and is known as ‘Braziers Park, Ipsden Turn’ by the bus drivers. However, you should also ask for Braziers Park as there are two stops called Ipsden turn. It’s the first one if you are coming from Reading and the second if you are coming from Oxford.
Arrival by train
Visitors traveling by train are advised to go to Reading central railway station and then catch the X39/X40 bus to Braziers Park, as these buses run from just outside the station Stand SB. Goring and Streatley station is around 40 to 60 minutes walk with steep hills, no buses, occasionally taxis.
