Bali Eco Stay

The lodge has an incredible yoga space, overlooking the rice fields where you will have your yoga session with Roy and Liz. You will stay for 5 days here and daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner is included.

H20 Yoga Center

H20 Yoga Center is located on the amazing tiny island of Gili Air. It is just a two hour boat ride from Bali. Automobiles and motorized traffic are prohibited on the island by local ordinance, so the method of transportation is by foot, bicycle or horse-drawn carriage. The place is also known as the ultimate island escape for yoga and meditation retreat.

Located only 300 meters from the beach front, the island is abundant with nature and nestled amongst timeless local lifestyle. It is a wonderful unique resting place and sanctuary for travelers and yogis alike. Gili Air’s exquisite coastline offers beautiful white sandy beaches and numerous sea view restaurants serving fresh fish. The tranquil waters surrounding the island are perfect for snorkeling and diving and a great place to swim with turtles. You will stay here for 4 nights. Your stay here will include daily breakfast.

Rooms are usually available in a double room.

With a theme of "Balancing the masculine and feminine energies" you will gain a new found balance between the two elements. After thousands of years of imbalance, distorted masculine dominance, and dis-empowered feminine energies, there is a tremendous opportunity and grace for healing at this time - for both men and women. Together with the group you will explore and discuss the theme, offer teachings and exercises to balance yin and yang, being and doing, heal the wounds, and free the voice of emotional expression. A typical day would include morning and some afternoon yoga classes and workshops on some yoga-related.

Excursions to Trikal Water Temple, Ubud and other cultural center is included in the price.

Felt more like a group therapy weekend

CONS Cons: Not a lot of time was spent doing yoga and the yoga was very basic (more like just stretching). The instructors did not offer challenges for students that really needed them. (This could have changed the whole experience for me). Coffee was limited. The leaders claimed to not know how to make coffee. We were told there was a Jacuzzi and there was but we were discouraged from using it. We were not told ahead of time that there would be no internet or cell service. I personally believe that the owner probably does has WiFi. There were several people who needed to be able to check in with there families. I did not have this problem but I felt lied to. I do think that others really did enjoyed themselves! I believe this was a very good and maybe even perfect retreat for many but I didn't enjoy it. However, I do think that I did learn a few things and who knows maybe I needed the experience just as it was.

PROS Pros: The location was nice. The food was tasty. People were interesting.

Organizer response: Hi Caralisa. Thank you so much for stretching your comfort zone and attending our retreat. I could see immediately that you were interested more in an exercise type of weekend, while we focus more on meditative yoga, deep connection, and mindful hiking. I think you know that the only time we adjusted the hot tub time was to ask to limit it to before 10pm, as a couple of you were a bit noisy the first night. We did have a land line that all were encouraged to use to contact loved ones. While not coffee drinkers, Liz and I asked for volunteers who made plenty of coffee. Lastly, people signed a release form agreeing to not use alcohol at this retreat, but we noticed empty bottles from your room. Again, while this was clearly not your type of retreat, we do appreciate you giving it a try, and I love your last comment that maybe it was exactly what you needed. May it be so. I followed your suggestions and am warning people about the internet coverage challenge, although I actually feel this deepens the inner experience. Many blessings, Roy and Liz
