About the retreat
In today’s fast-paced world, weight gain is often more than just a number on the scale—it is a symptom of deeper imbalances. Whether it’s the result of chronic stress, sluggish digestion, hormonal shifts, or years of disconnection from your body's signals, excess weight can weigh heavily not only on the body but also on the mind and spirit.
This retreat invites you on a gentle yet powerful journey of transformation through ancient wisdom. The retreat is based on the timeless knowledge of Ayurveda, over 5000 years old. In this program, you will tackle the underlying reasons for gaining weight—such as metabolic imbalance, poor digestion, emotional stress, or lack of physical activity—through detoxification, rejuvenation therapies, mindful nutrition, and personalized care.
Ayurvedic Approach to Weight Loss
Ayurveda views weight gain as a sign of underlying imbalances. These often involve kapha aggravation, impaired agni (digestive fire), and the buildup of ama (toxins).
- Dosha Identification: In Ayurveda, weight loss should match one’s dosha (body constitution: vata, pitta, or kapha). Each dosha has unique traits, and a personalized plan will be more effective.
- Vata: Vata types might lose weight quickly but also gain it easily due to irregular eating habits. A weight loss plan for vata should stabilize digestion and avoid dehydration and stress.
- Pitta: Pitta types often have strong digestion, but too much heat can lead to inflammation and weight gain. Programs for pitta should calm the digestive system and reduce acidic foods.
- Kapha: Kapha types are more likely to gain weight, often due to a slow metabolism and emotional eating. Weight loss plans for kapha should stimulate digestion, boost metabolism, and tackle emotional eating.
- Agni (Digestive Fire): Improving digestive fire is essential, as weak agni can lead to weight gain, bloating, and toxin buildup.
- Detoxification (Panchakarma): Crucial for removing toxins, boosting metabolism, and refreshing the digestive system.
- Mind-body connection: Meditation, yoga, and mindfulness address stress, anxiety, and depression that contribute to weight gain.
- Balanced diet: Tailored to an individual’s dosha, the season, and current health to promote digestion and restore balance.
Reclaim balance, burn fat naturally, and rejuvenate mind & body. This retreat is an Ayurvedic holistic immersion program that helps regain balance and lose weight naturally while addressing the mind and spirit as well.
Who is this retreat for?
- Anyone struggling with excess weight or a slow metabolism.
- Those who feel bloated, sluggish, or mentally foggy.
- Individuals with hormonal imbalances or thyroid issues.
- Anyone seeking a natural and sustainable weight loss approach.
- Those desiring a holistic reset of body, mind, and emotions.
Unlike crash diets or strenuous fitness regimens, Ayurveda approaches weight loss by restoring inner harmony. It recognizes that sustainable health comes from aligning your lifestyle, food, movement, and emotions with your unique constitution, or dosha.
This retreat is more than a physical detox—it’s a complete reset for your metabolic system, digestive fire (agni), and emotional resilience. Set amidst serene natural surroundings, the experience offers a rare chance to slow down, tune in, and heal from within.
The Retreat Focus
- Internal detoxification (panchakarma therapies)
- Therapeutic body treatments (such as udwarthanam – herbal powder massage)
- Metabolism-boosting herbal medications
- Diet and lifestyle correction
- Mental and emotional rebalancing
You’ll receive personalized Ayurvedic treatments, customized meal plans, and guidance from experienced doctors and therapists who care deeply about your transformation. Each day includes a carefully curated blend of body therapies, herbal support, yoga, breathwork, and mindful eating—all tailored to address the root causes of weight gain rather than just the symptoms.
The mission is not to push your body to conform to external ideals, but to bring you home to balance, empower your metabolism, and reconnect you to the joy of living in a light, energized, and authentic body.
Whether you’re seeking to release physical weight, emotional heaviness, or mental clutter, this retreat is a sacred pause—an opportunity to reclaim vitality, clarity, and purpose through the time-honored principles of Ayurveda.
