The Peak District yoga and hiking retreat is the perfect short stay adventure. Great for nature-loving yogis that want a more modern feel to their accommodation. Join this retreat for a stunning new venue in the Derbyshire Dales, Hope Valley area, with views across the valleys of the Peak District. The retreat will make you feel like you have had a full escape away!
The perfect blend of rustic with contemporary luxury, the open-plan layout creates a spacious but homely feel, boasting three seating areas through two sitting rooms, a log burner to curl up in front of, and stunning views. An outdoor fire pit is a perfect spot to enjoy the dark skies for some stargazing and there is an abundance of walks directly from the front door!
There are 10 ensuite bedrooms giving everyone privacy and space. You can choose from a single or twin / double ensure with valley views - spectacular views of the whole valley, or patio rooms to the rear of the building. A twin / double room is for two people sharing either two single beds or a double bed. A single room has a king-size double bed for 1 person.
The modern home for this weekend retreat in Peak District has all the cozy comforts you could ever need. Plush sofas, warming fires, and stunning views from every window, of which there are a lot! An abundance of seating areas both inside and outside means you will have plenty of space - perfect to curl up with a book or chat with your new retreat friends.
This yoga retreat in the Peak District is suitable for anyone who'd like a relaxing staycation in the UK to refresh and revive and refresh. With yoga to relax, healthy food to cleanse, time out to rebalance. Beginners are welcome, as well as all ages. The hikes are suitable for all levels with the times varying from 3.5 hours each time.
You can choose to be as active or relaxed as you like on this yoga retreat. Enjoy the free guided hikes and then enjoy the grounds of the retreat to relax in and take in the stunning view. If you fancy spending the day curled up in front of the fire with a book and tea, feel free!
AdventureYogi's inspiring and experienced teachers are well-practiced at adapting the class to everyone’s level. From beginners to intermediate. Everyone is welcome. The yoga teacher will create a more dynamic class in the morning to get you ready for the day’s hike and the evening class will be slightly longer to enable deep relaxation with yoga Nidra.
Please arrive from 4:00 p.m. This allows time to settle in before the first yoga class at 6:00 p.m. Dinner will be served at 8:00 p.m. The retreat will then end at 10:00 a.m. on the last day.
Your days will be filled but relaxing! Included in the price are two days of guided hikes with qualified mountain guides directly from the house.
Marie is a yoga teacher and yoga therapist. Her classes are about connecting with your body and mind through explorative movement and flows, moments of still restoration and reflection and weaving breath work and mindfulness throughout. They are a time to return home to yourself. Marie creates an environment that balances your busy, demanding lives with the opportunity to learn how to tend to your nervous system and support the release of physical and mental tension through the yogic powers of self-regulation. Marie specializes in the movement disciplines of Vinyasa and Yin yoga.
Nikki has a strong passion for movement and mindfulness. Teaching yoga since 2019, her classes are centred around encouraging people to develop strength and space in their bodies through their yoga practice. She combines ancient yogic wisdom with modern scientific developments to help individuals learn more about their minds and bodies, and live in a healthier and more fulfilling way both on and off the mat.
The retreat venue is located near Grindleford in the Hope Valley area of the Peak District. It was recently converted from a cattle shed in 2017 into a truly beautiful retreat space.
There is a real raw and wild feel to the Peak District. Covering over 550 square miles, the national park boasts an array of landscapes, habitats, and environments for you to explore!
Vast, open landscapes are broken up by deep valleys and quaint villages with many wide rivers and streams creating the perfect place for a wild swim to just dip your toes! All of this, and only a three-hour train journey from Central London!

Although it feels like a million miles away, the venue is only a three-and-a-half-hour drive or a wonderful two-hour train journey away from central London.
The nearest big train stations are Sheffield and Chesterfield where you will find taxis. It is about a 20 to 25-minute journey by car to either Sheffield or Chesterfield. Please be aware that the below times may have changed but, give you an idea of trains that work with the retreat schedule.
