Overview
You know YogaUnion. You know what to expect. Are you ready to sweat, cry and laugh with YogaUnion one more time? If this is your first time, are you ready to be part of this loving, ever-growing family?
YogaUnion has been delivering yoga teacher training courses (YTTCs), based on Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow, an internationally accredited program with Yoga Alliance, for over a decade now.
Enchanted by Bali and its energy since the first training they held here, the original founder, Ourania, decided to call this magical land their new home. Now permanently situated in Ubud, the cultural and yogic capital of Bali. YogaUnion Shala is located deep in the rice fields, overlooking the Ubudian jungle and rice fields, which makes this experience even more magical.
Based on thousands of hours of experience from all over the world, Ourania carefully created and shaped the course to deliver the most educational, life-changing experience. The training is designed to challenge and develop individuals at all levels.
The course
The course is a 5-week intensive advanced 300-hour training that will build on your pre-existing knowledge, so already having a 200-hour certification will be required.
Following from the 200-hour course, this training will naturally be practice focused as well. You will analyze all the poses of Ashtanga Primary Series, as well as more and new Vinyasa and Hatha yoga postures. You will break down, analyze, learn how to perform, adjust and teach those poses and make creative and well-structured flows with them.
The anatomy lessons will hug the asana classes, complementing them by focusing on the understanding of movement patterns, their practical application to your practice and how each pose affects the joints, bones, and muscles.
You will take a deeper look, not only at the muscles and their fascia, but also at the nervous system. You will gain more insight into how the mind is connected to your body and how you can invest in that relationship and take the reigns.
How the training looks like
Your days will start with pranayama, meditation, and chanting, balancing you and setting the stage for the rest of the day. You will be introduced to new, more advanced breathing techniques and practice different kinds of meditation methods and mantra chanting.
The philosophy classes will take you through the epic Bhagavad Gita, where you will have in-depth, open-minded, and constructive discussions in order to find yourself there and see how you can apply the traditional yogic ethics, and lifestyle to your modern lives.
In the afternoons, you will delve deeper into the practice of Yin, as well as be introduced to even more styles of yoga, like Tantra, Restorative, Pre-natal, and others, as well as having regular theme-based workshops.
The family
Five intensive, challenging and very rewarding weeks await you. During this training you will spend even more hours together, practicing, training and learning but also supporting and helping each other, through good and bad.
During this training you will work closer and for more hours with your teachers, who will always be there to support and guide you through this journey.
You will bond and connect on a deeper level with your fellow students as well. You will live, eat and sleep close to each other as well as have many, many hours of mutual practice where you will be asked to group up and study or practice your final lessons together.
On Sundays you will have your day-off where you can explore the majestic Bali and visit the temples, the jungle, the sea or the mountains, depending on your energy levels.
