During this retreat, you will be staying at the Continental House. It is a beautiful 1920’s guest house, offering comfortable accommodation with open fires and baths. Twin-share with en-suite bedrooms, a sunny yoga room, cozy log fire, and in-house hammam steam room. The Continental House offers a peaceful, hidden away environment surrounded by nature where you can chill out and truly relax. During downtime, they recommend you explore the grounds and find the secret garden.
Join Take Shape Adventures in this hiking and yoga retreat for a care-free weekend of hiking, yoga, good food and good company or add a massage to really treat yourself. They are passionate about taking you off-the-beaten track, and creating positive experiences and memories that will last a lifetime. This adventure is catered for people from many walks of life, age groups, and motivations. It aims to give you the very best of what nature and the outdoors has to offer, leaving you with a smile from ear to ear and a sense of accomplishment.
This is a beginner-friendly weekend, with short hikes (grade 2-3) exploring the trails around the picturesque town of Daylesford. They suggest you look at the grading provided and have a browse through the itinerary distances. If you can walk 20 kilometers day after day then you’ll be fine for the Larapinta Trek, or you may be more suited to wandering around the Bay of Fires and more leisurely beach walking. Remember that you will have weeks to months to build up your fitness before the trip – which TSA can help you with.
Over the weekend, you will have 3 yoga sessions. Don’t worry you don’t need to be a hardcore yogi for this, their instructor teaches you all you need to know. Plus some downtime for a massage or hammam. With a focus on wellness, mindfulness and just having a good time, these weekends give you the opportunity to switch off and reconnect with nature, meet like-minded people, share healthy food and a drink with new friends. You will relax, reconnect, and leave feeling refreshed and inspired.

You will be served with delicious home cooked nutritional meals throughout the retreat. They arrive at the accommodation early to prepare all the nutritious and delicious meals. They provide breakfast, lunches, dinners and dessert, plus snacks along the trail. They also have the essentials: freshly ground coffee, yummy snacks, fresh fruit, beautiful vegetable based salads, wraps, and cheeses.
The menu is specifically designed to fuel your body on the track – oh! and let’s not forget a sneaky dessert or two and a glass of wine. You are on holiday after all!
Vegetarian diets and medically recommended diets (allergies and intolerances) can also be catered for. Please make sure to inform Take Shape Adventures well in advance.
