Program

Retreat goal

To introduce participants to the fundamental principles of Buddhist Tantra, its connection with psychology and everyday life, and to learn basic practices that lay the foundation for the further spiritual path. A clear structure, deep principles, rooted in ancient wisdom — yet open to freedom, reflection, and growth.

This is not “magic.” It’s a precise exploration of your inner architecture. For those who are done with surface-level practices and ready to meet themselves — seriously.

Buddhist Tantra is a system where every part is interconnected:

  • How thought shapes speech,
  • How emotion shapes the body, and
  • How daily life shapes inner grounding.

Key themes:

  • The importance of the body in tantric practice, allowing spirituality to manifest and be embodied.
  • Acceptance of all aspects of oneself as a path to transformation rather than suppression.
  • Transforming strong emotions (e.g., anger) into their true, pure nature.
  • A perspective on pleasures: not rejecting them, but experiencing them with openness and an understanding of their impermanence, which leads to joy and bliss rather than attachment.
  • A brief symbolic explanation of sexual imagery in Tantra, as the union of inner masculine and feminine energies (form and emptiness), leading to blissful awareness — not literal sexual practices for beginners.
  • Understanding tantric deities as manifestations of our own true nature (Buddha-nature) or archetypal capacities of the psyche, rather than as external gods.
  • An introduction to the concept of visualization as a way to identify with enlightened qualities.

Embodying the Nature of The Mind: Energy, Archetypes, and Wholeness

Day 1 – The soul’s call: Entering the path

Why is one here?

  • Intro to Buddhist Tantra as a path of transformation, not denial
  • Opening circle: “What am I seeking? What am I carrying?”
  • Somatic grounding: Breath, body awareness, orientation in space
  • Evening visualization: Green Tara as an inner archetype of tenderness and protection

Day 2 – Meeting the shadow: Anger, control, and power

Facing what’s real

  • Shadow work through the body: Anger, fear, control as suppressed life force
  • Embodiment session: Shaking, voice, grounding, physical expression
  • Archetype focus: Vajrapani – fierce protection and clarity
  • Partner practice: Exploring how power is expressed or suppressed

Day 3 – Shame and vulnerability: The sacred body

Permission to be

  • Exploring body shame and disconnection through gentle somatic presence
  • Safe touch and presence practice: Respectful embodied witnessing
  • Body as sacred: Meditation on the temple within
  • Archetype: White Tara – purity, compassion, and dignified presence
  • Evening ritual: Self-forgiveness and softness

Day 4 – Purification through truth: Vajrasattva

Truth, release, renewal

  • Silent morning and journaling: “What is one ready to release?”
  • Full Vajrasattva purification practice (mantra, visualization, felt sense)
  • Group ritual: Fire-walking (symbolic or through movement)
  • Water purification – cleansing in the sea or a mindful bathing ritual

Day 5 – Bliss and unconditional love

Feeling is possible, connection can be embraced

  • Loving-kindness (Metta) meditation: Softening the heart
  • Archetype: Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara) – Opening to love and empathy
  • Reclaiming pleasure: Moving away from shame into embodied joy
  • Evening: Tantric hand mudra practice – touch without intention, deep presence

Day 6 – Integration: Inner union of archetypes

Masculine, feminine, wholeness

  • Inner union visualizations – integrating wisdom (clarity) and compassion (warmth)
  • Embodied dance: Movement between poles of action and reception
  • Archetype: Samvara–Vajrayogini – union of form and emptiness
  • Evening fire circle and starlit silence – integration in the field

Day 7 – Returning home

Not changed, but deeper

  • Morning silence and meditation: Resting in the nature of the mind
  • Journaling: “What do I want to bring with me into my daily life?”
  • Closing circle: Witnessing, commitment, sharing
  • Ritual closure and transmission of home practice

Daily rhythm includes:

  • Morning silence
  • Embodiment or breath-based practice
  • Archetypal meditation / visualization
  • Group reflection and integration
  • Space for solitude
  • Gentle instruction and freedom of pace

Included excursions

Some teachings and embodiment practices are designed to take place in nature or sacred sites that support inner transformation. Some sessions may be held at local temples, allowing direct connection with the energy of ancient wisdom traditions.

Guided meditative walks and teachings may unfold near waterfalls, where the movement of water helps release emotional blockages. Certain somatic practices and visualizations will take place on quiet beaches, at sunrise or sunset, to support deep presence and sensory integration. Every location is chosen with intention – to amplify the practice and mirror inner processes in the outer environment

Transportation to these locations is included. All sites are within a short distance from the retreat center.
