You will spend the week aboard 2 premium sailing yachts. Fully equipped with all the latest mod cons, including 3 bathrooms, a full kitchen, SUP boards, a dinghy/tender for trips ashore, all necessary safety equipment and commercially endorsed skippers with over 50 weeks experience of running sailing trips in the Med.

Typical day

You will wake up each day to a short meditation, welcoming the morning and lifting your spirits.Breakfast can be taken ashore while you are in harbor or on the yacht, where a light and healthy breakfast of yogurts and fruit will be provided.

The morning yoga practice will take place in a carefully chosen location, and following this, you will set sail to find somewhere to swim. You'll plan to anchor in some of the stunning island bays, where you can choose to go ashore and explore or simply relax on the yacht, swimming in the crystal-clear waters.

After lunch on board and a chance to take in the beautiful surroundings with a tea or coffee, you will leave for your evening destination. The evening yoga practice will be a chance to really relax, an invitation to stretch away any tension that remains with you, and heal your body through the power of movement.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Alimos

Travel to Alimos from Athens airport. The adventure starts here, on the Athenian Riviera. Known for its stunning beaches and waterside dining, this awesome town is full of Greek charm! Those who arrive early can stroll the marina and enjoy an ouzo in the sun. At 6 p.m. you’ll all gather at one of Alimos’ famous tavernas, meet your skippers and crewmates, and enjoy that first day of holiday feeling.

Day 2: Alimos - Aegina

Wake to coffee, a short yoga session, and then out into the beautiful Saronic Gulf. Today, you set sail for Aegina. You can visit Egina town, a beautiful and bustling Greek town famous for pistachios, before we spend a chilled evening in the traditional fishing village of Perdika. A tiny village with a row of fish tavernas along the coast and its own little beach, Perdika is one of the real gems of the Saronic.

Day 3: Aegina - Epidavros

After breakfast in Perdika, you have the opportunity for a short stop at Moni, an uninhabited island famous for deer and peacocks. You can stretch your legs and explore before heading back to the yachts and the next stop, a secluded little bay on the Island of Agistri. Yoga will be in this beautiful location, as well as plenty of time to swim and snorkel, before heading to Epidavros for the evening.

Day 4: Epidavros - Poros

With its ancient amphitheater, Epidavros is worth spending a morning exploring, and a short hop by boat around the coast is a spot to anchor and snorkel over some small ancient ruins. Ancient history in Greece is never far, and this meeting of the old and new is what makes this place so incredible.

From Epidavros, you will have a lunchtime stop to swim before heading to the gorgeous town of Poros.

Day 5: Poros - Spetses

After breakfast in Poros, you can make your way to Spetses. With only a short lunch stop, you can spend a relaxed afternoon and evening before taking dinner in a local taverna. With a chance to walk, or just to chill, before a beautiful sunset yoga session.

Day 6: Spetses - Hydra

From Spetses, you head to Hydra to explore the local town before a longer sail across to Sounio. Depending on the weather, you may be able to stop here for the evening. Of course, with sailing, as with yoga, you need to be able to work with the rhythms of nature, and they will make this call nearer the time.

Day 7: Hydra - Alimos

You wake up to your last day on the water. With plenty of time to swim before heading back to base and the opportunity to walk up to Poseidon’s Temple, an imposing Greek monument on the headland, where, myth has it, Aegeus, the King of Athens, leapt into the sea after seeing black sails on his son Theseus’ boat, thus naming the sea the Aegean.

Day 8: Departure

This is the end of the holiday. Today, you will return home.

The tour starts in Alimos Marina, Athens. Then, you'll head for Perdika, Aegina - Epidavros - Poros - Spetses - Sounio - back to Alimos.

There will be boat kitty for breakfast and lunches. Dinners ashore.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos Airport) (ATH). Airport transfer is not provided. The X96 bus from the airport will bring you right to the yachts at Alimos marina from the airport (the bus from the airport takes about 90 mins and costs approx. 8 EUR). Or you can take a taxi, which takes 35-40 minutes and costs approx. 60-70 EUR (can be split between guests).

Sailing the Med will provide you with very detailed instructions about where to meet them. It is very likely you will be arriving on the same flight or at the same time as one of the 10 guests who have already booked.

You'll be sailing from Alimos Marina in the afternoon on Saturday, but don’t worry if you arrive after 4 p.m. on a later flight; on Saturday evening we’ll be anchored and celebrating our first night in the bay of Sounio. If you are on a later flight, i.e., arriving after 4 p.m., then you can take a taxi from Athens airport.

There are a number of flights that arrive in Athens on the Saturday morning and evening, or extend your trip and get a flight the night before.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 30% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 30 days before arrival.
