"Wonderful short yoga and massage retreat "
I had a wonderful and peaceful break. The resort was fantastic and the food great. Really enjoyed the daily yoga and massage. Most of all, the staff (Tude, Putri, August, Nita just to name just a few) were excellent. They were always smiling and attentive. They also accommodated, without hesitation, changes to my itinerary. Overall I enjoyed my short stay at Purana.

"Beautiful villa in a peaceful location."
We have travelled but this is by far the best place we have stayed for the price paid. The villa is gorgeous, private and we were attended to like VIPs. August our butler couldn’t have been better at his job. I wish he worked for me! Daily yoga next to our private pool was a real motivator then breakfast delivered just after was such a treat. We are already planning a longer stay.

Best things about my stay at Purana included:
1) Beautiful villa with private pool - my bath and shower was situated outside which was amazing. Only thing I would say is that if you are scared of spiders, mossies and all other flying things (like I am), I would think twice about staying in Ubud on a whole as it is a tropical location and you will encounter unwanted critters, big and small, throughout your stay
2) I had never done yoga before but my instructor was very patient, kind and made me feel extremely comfortable
3) Breakfast served every morning in my villa - this was honestly the best part and what I love most about boutique resorts. The breakfast menu was extensive with a huge variety to choose from. I even had a "floating breakfast" on one of the days which was lovely :)
5) Private excursion trip around the North of Ubud - I paid 600,000 IDR for half a day excursion to see some temples, the view of Mount Batung, Tegalalang Rice Terrace and the Monkey Forest. My butler, Adi, escorted me on this trip and provided some historical context at each location. They have a plethora of excursions on offer and even let you amend some of the locations to suit your preference
Overall, I would DEFINITELY recommend staying here. Such a beautiful resort and top notch customer service.

Agust was a fantastic tour guide, so knowledgeable and super sweet. He recommended fun things for me todo. Everyone went above and beyond to make me have a good stay. This was my first trip travelling alone and they made it really easy

I had a most amazing stay at Purana Boutique Resort. The staff were so friendly, obliging and efficient. My villa was immaculate and had everything I needed for my break. It was so quiet and peaceful and I didn't even see another guest. My meals were exquisite. I wish I had stayed there longer. For my first holiday on my own it was probably one of if not my best. I'll definitely be returning. Thank you Purana.

The personal service and care were second to none! The staff was incredibly friendly. The location is a bit remote, but my friend and I were looking for a quiet getaway to do some yoga & meditation. The hotel provides many options for getting into the city center. The food here was excellent as well!

Ubud, Love it or hate it the area is unique. Among the vast properties to choose from I found this location and never being in the area before I took a chance. I was highly surprised and amazed from the first step I took in the place. Now, the road to there is old and partially a dirt road but it is quiet and peaceful. You will hear nothing in your villa but the occasional Roster crowing or a phone ring here and there. I fell sick with Strep and the staff was constantly asking about me, asking if I needed to go to the clinic or send my partner on a pharmacy run. (FYI Anti-Biotics are sold over the counter here). The food here is amazing, fresh, high quality and organic. You get free breakfast with your stay, now it is not the "American" version of a stale donut or buffet style. Cooked to order to your specifications. The staff will go out of there way and there is a shuttle or your can call a taxi if needed. I would never want to stay near Ubud to where I can hear or smell that place but the outskirts of the village are amazing.
This resort is beautiful, it has such a relaxed and comfortable vibe, the outdoor shower and bath were amazing and so relaxing in the evenings under the stars.
But the staff honestly make this resort unforgettable. They are all such kind souls and make your stay feel so personal. They listen and go out of their way to make you happy. I'd recommend this resort to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday.
Our butler Adi was brilliant he was so interesting to chat with and made sure we were always happy, we went away feeling like he was a friend. And he was always so happy and laughing which was just so lovely to be around.
Purana is an amazing resort and I couldn't recommend them more!
We got the Laksmana villa with a private pool. The villa is so beautiful, located about 5-8min drive from the centre of Ubud. It's so beautiful and quiet with rice fields surrounding the resort. The breakfast and complimentary afternoon tea is awesome. It was my partners first time and I wanted to make sure his first trip was special.. and Purana certainly delivered.
The staff are exceptional, even compared to 5 star resorts in Seminyak which we stayed in after did not compare in service.
Tude, Putri and Nita... thank you for making our stay so unforgettable.. WE MISS YOU ALREADY!! We cannot wait to come back for our honey moon!!
Thank you thank you thank you!
My 5 night stay at Purana was one of the best holidays I've ever had. The team were lovely (a special thanks to Adi, Putri, Agus and Dedrik for making my stay so special!)
I stayed in a one bedroom villa that featured beautiful Balinese design and a gorgeous private pool. One of my favourite things was the outdoor shower - who doesn't want to shower surrounded by greenery and butterflies!
Although 10 mins drive from central Ubud, I liked the peace and quiet and being surrounded by true Balinese culture. I hope it doesn't become too developed for tourism and lose the rice paddies and village feel.
The food was delicious, especially the Nasi Goreng. There were also many choices for breakfast and the only thing I missed was my daily lattes.
I did private yoga in my garden each day and wish I'd taken the chance to do more of the included daily activities (basket weaving etc). next time for sure.
I can't wait for my next visit to Purana.
