It is a retreat with 5 full days of activity in total but please note that you may arrive any day of the week and stay as long as you wish. Guests have the option to extend their stay to 7, 10 nights, or 15 nights.
There will be 2 yoga sessions a day (Hatha or Vinyasa at 7:30 a.m and yoga Nidra at 5:30 p.m). This will be according to individual level of practice and need.
There will be a personalized and transformative coaching program with Laura Sabbadini (daily sessions, 90 minutes each) and the overall schedule will be taylor-made by the time of arrival. Laura is certified counsellor, naturopath, reiki master, pranic healer and Ayurvedic nutritionist.
Instructors
Laura Sabbadini
As a child, Laura dreamed of travelling the world, and to do that she had to learn as many foreign languages as possible, so that she could be understood as an adult by everybody, everywhere. Aged 6, she saw in a bookshop a front-cover picture of a lady performing what looked like an ‘unusual posture’ so she started pestering her mum until she finally bought that book for her. Its title was “Yoga and Sexual Behaviour”, but all she was interested in of course, but still odd enough for a 6-year old child, were the many pictures inside, showing different asanas. That was how she first met yoga.

Spa treatments
Kerala is home to Ayurveda, i.e. the Traditional System of Indian Medicine (considered by many to be the oldest healing science, originated in India more than 5000 years ago!)
Ayurveda translates to 'knowledge of life' and is based on the idea that disease is due to an imbalance, or stress, in a person's consciousness: it therefore encourages certain lifestyle interventions and natural therapies to regain a balance between the body, mind, spirit, and the environment (the principles of many of the natural healing systems now familiar in the West have their roots in Ayurveda...)
Ayurveda treatment starts with an internal purification process, followed by a special diet, herbal remedies, massage therapy, yoga, and meditation: even without undergoing a full Ayurveda programme, while in Kovalam you will be able to enjoy excellent body massages and other beauty and wellness treatments (not included in the package)
