Hatha Yoga World Teacher Training Centre is offering a retreat which is residential. The school is traditional Hatha Yoga with focus on adjustment and alignment. Hatha Vinyasa flow, ancient knowledge about philosophy and a yogic lifestyle, Pranayama (breathing techniques), anatomy, meditation, mantra chanting. The program focuses on providing you with opportunities to develop your skills as a student. Each day is devoted to attending lectures gaining knowledge about philosophy, anatomy. You will also benefit from guidance given individually. This retreat includes meditation, mantra chanting, kriyas, Hatha, Vinyasa, anatomy, yoga philosophy, pranayama, etc.

Different meditation techniques will be introduced
Pranayama is breathing techniques. The word 'prana' means 'life force'. Topics covered are an introduction to pranayama, benefits of pranayama and explanation of the pranic body.
You will learn different energy locks, preparation to perform these and benefits.
Kriyas are cleansing techniques used to purify the body. The purpose of these cleansing techniques is to keep the body strong, clean and healthy as they remove toxins and blockages in the body which makes a meditation practice more effortless since no discomfort or fatigue is a distraction for the mind.
1. Jal Neti
Hatha yoga is the oldest form of yoga which emphasizes the balance of the body and mind. It is a way of purifying the body and awakening pranic energy within which is described in ancient Indian Vedic texts. In recent years, it has become more and more popular as a great way of improving wellness and as a form of treatment for many ailments.
The classes are based on ancient traditional yoga and lead by a very experienced teacher. The instructor will explain and teach the correct alignment of poses, correct usage of props, including benefits of using props, how to assist others and correct various faults, the benefits of each pose, and other various benefits of yoga.
The classes also include sequencing. During the course, there will be a strong emphasis on developing good alignment skills in each student along with the knowledge of each asana. Classes are held from Mondays to Saturdays from 06:30 to 19:00.

Hatha Vinyasa is a mixture between the traditional practice of Hatha and flow. In these classes, you flow from one asana to the next in coordination with the breath. The intention behind the movement and how you move is an important aspect and will leave the practitioner with a different out of body experience. The body flows and so does the prana.
Lectures about the history of yoga, the importance of yoga in your life and its origin in India.
Anatomy classes expose the internal body and how are works with bones, joints and inner systems which affect how an asana is performed. The basic structure and function of the organs, system and how yoga affects our body is an important aspect for students to know. Gaining knowledge about the joints and their range of motions helps students to be safe from injuries.
Pankaj is born and raised in the holy city of Varanasi. Over many years of sadhana and teaching experience, Pankaj has developed a deep understanding of the body. By observing the body and the potential of practitioners, Pankaj has the ability to guide students to explore their limits. After working with Western people, Pankaj has gained an understanding of the modern mind and body and how imbalances affect people. Pankaj helps students to deal with mental and physical challenges to bring clarity, balance, and freedom into their life.
With a spiritual perspective, Julie focuses on chakras, meditation, philosophy, and pranayama and leads the way to this knowledge with a warm-hearted female energy. She teaches Hatha Vinyasa which is a mixture of the best from the two styles and Yin yoga. Always paying respect to the root and true essence of yoga, she has a spiritual approach in her teachings but also covers practical topics like how to create a yoga asana sequence with a theme focus. The theme could be chakras, the five elements, etc. You will receive plenty of tools from Julie to become a confident and compassionate teacher.
Benu is a spiritual seeker, traveler, and lover of yogis and yoga. He was born in South India, Kerala. He worked for 25 years in the modern education department and got his graduation diploma in science, post-graduation in medical anatomy, and basics in computer science. In search of spiritual education and company of yogis, he left South India in the year of 2000 and moved towards the Himalayas. In 2003 Benu stayed with Swami Satyananda in his ashram - Rikhia Peeth to undergo a Gurukul tradition course.
Rajnikant Singh was born and grew up in Delhi. He was drawn to the power and subtlety of the 'breath' in the form of meditation, which opened him to inner and outer calmness. His yoga journey began four years ago when he left his career in the finance sector and fulfilled a lifelong ambition of becoming a yoga teacher. He now teaches yoga anatomy in Rishikesh. Inspired to follow his passion, he practiced the Iyengar style of yoga and continued to study on deeper levels where he sighted acumen and assertion of what he had been finding on his own through practice.
This course takes place at Rishikesh Yoga Teacher Training Centre in Rishikesh, India. Known as the Yoga capital of the world, Rishikesh is a perfect place to learn and study yoga. Vegetarian and vegan options are served daily. Three meals a day are included in the price. The food is freshly cooked for every meal and prepared hygienically with filter water. When doing an intense course like a Teacher Training course it is especially important to nurture oneself with nutritious fuel for the body and mind. To do Yoga asanas is not enough on its own, the lifestyle has to be yogic as well and then, transformation is felt. You are what you eat, it affects your mood and ways of thinking. In yoga it is recommended to eat a Satvik diet, which means eating food which makes you feel light and energetic. At Hatha Yoga World the meals served will be Satvik to purify the body and therefore also the mind.
Hatha Yoga World has a talented and passionate chef who will provide fresh meals cooked with love. The energy from the one cooking should be good and kind since this also effects the prana in the food.
In Ayurveda, the sister science to yoga, it is emphasised to eat at the same time every day. With busy lifestyles it can be difficult. At Hatha Yoga World the meals are set at specific times with regular intervals to support the natural rhythm of the body. The following dietary requirements are served for: vegetarian, vegan. If you have special dietary requirements please communicate this to Hatha Yoga World when making the reservation.
Breakfast consists of fresh fruit, porridge, muesli with curd, upma (south Indian delicacy), toast, butter, honey, fresh juice or smoothie.
Lunch is dahl made of lentils, seasonal vegetables, rice, chapatti and fresh salad.
Dinner consists of a cooked seasonal vegetable dish, soup, rice, chapatti and fresh salad.

From the Delhi airport get a taxi to Delhi bus station from where you can get a government or private transportation to Rishikesh. Upon arrival at Rishikesh bus station, you can take a taxi or rickshaw to our school.
