Each room at Sterling Forest Lodge tells a different story - stories of Vermont, stories of nature, stories of time, and new stories that they hope you will tell after staying with them. But one thing is for sure: the rooms are all designed with comfort and sustainability at the core.
They've also spared no expense to supply all the rooms with organic, non-toxic mattresses and linens from Avocado Green Mattresses, organic towels and robes from Under the Canopy, and Vermont's own natural bath products by Ursa Major. Rest easy, and rest safe.
Program
Adventure to the breathtaking landscapes of Vermont’s Green Mountains for a three-night, four-day retreat designed to help you disconnect from the noise of daily life and reconnect with yourself on a deeper level. Nestled in nature’s embrace, this retreat offers the perfect space to slow down, restore your energy, and realign with your true essence.
Through daily yoga, meditation, breathwork, and immersive teachings in yoga philosophy and Ayurveda, you’ll cultivate a practice that extends beyond the mat - one that nourishes both body and soul. You’ll also have time to snowshoe, explore, journal, and simply be, soaking in the peace and simplicity of nature while forming meaningful connections with like-hearted individuals.
This retreat is an opportunity to step outside your comfort zone - because let’s be real, nothing exciting ever happens there. As you deepen your understanding of yourself, cultivate self-love, and embrace personal growth, you will not only become stronger for yourself, but also for those around you. Together, you’ll create a solid foundation for community, discovering that people are always better together.

Dharma talks on how to live a meaningful and fulfilling life

An intimate group setting
This retreat is limited to 14 participants for an intimate experience, and better yet, the group will have the entire property to themselves to further nurture their community building and the ultimate wellness experience.
Ample free time
While the yoga classes, workshops, and community building are Free Spirited Wanderer LLC's retreat's secret sauce, they also want to honor your personal time to take what you need from your weekend away. Your time and energy are sacred, and in order to get the most from this experience, they want to give you some downtime to do so.
A note from Carole:
Words cannot express how happy she is that you'll be there. It will be their third retreat in Stowe, VT, and she is so excited to return! This retreat location is so special to her because Vermont was her first home; where she was born and raised and lived for the first 22 years of her life. She knows it like the back of her hand.
Although she's been away for seven years now, it will always be home. Why? Because Vermont is not your average state - it's magical.
It's welcoming, accepting, and loving of all beings; the landscape is picturesque; the air is crisp and fresh; the food is farm-to-table and encourages a healthy lifestyle; and it's filled with rolling hills, open skies, rivers, lakes, and mountains, which creates a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Oh, and do not forget the stellar view of the stars and Milky Way galaxy at night!
It is Carole's honor to lead this retreat and welcome you into her home; she aims to create a space where you feel deeply connected and with a sense of belonging, guiding you back home to your own inner essence.
