Foodpath is a family guesthouse inside the village of Paleros, four minutes' walk from the sea, close to local shops and tavernas, and surrounded by the quiet rhythm of Greek coastal life.
Upstairs rooms: Sea view, shared spaces
Four rooms open to southwest-facing balconies with views of the sea and the surrounding hills. Each room has four single beds, perfect for friends or small groups. Facilities include a private bathroom, mosquito nets, a mini fridge, air conditioning, and an infrared heater for cooler evenings.
Garden rooms: Quiet and private
Three warmly decorated rooms sit in the garden among flowers and a traditional stone well. Available as singles, doubles, or triples. A shared patio gives you outdoor space to sit, breathe, and connect with other guests.
Yoga studio
An indoor studio is available for morning practice, hot afternoons, or cooler evenings — intimate and quiet, designed to deepen the group connection and your own inner focus.
Practical comforts
Daily room cleaning, on-site laundry, Wi-Fi, and a care-filled team make your stay easy. Everything is in place so you can focus on your practice and your rest.
A home with 18 years of practice behind it
Foodpath has been a place of conscious living and spiritual development for over 18 years. You will feel it in the quality of the space, the warmth of the people, and the quiet invitation to simply be yourself.
Program
Once upon a shoreline where the olive trees meet the sea, here lies a place where time softens, and breath becomes poetry.
You arrive with a suitcase, a curious heart, and a mind full of noise - seeking not just a holiday, but a gentle return to yourself.
At the Foodpath Center in Paleros, Greece, the days begin with sunlight spilling through linen curtains and the quiet stretch of limbs awakening on the mat. The Aegean hums nearby, a lullaby to your senses, while seasoned guides invite you to move, to rest, to simply be.
No pressure to perform, no need to keep up. Here, every posture is a whisper, not a command. You’ll eat from the land, you’ll laugh with strangers turned friends and each evening, the stars will remind you that presence is the most beautiful place to live.
So if you’ve wondered whether a yoga retreat could be for you - if you’ve longed to slow down, to listen, to let go, come walk the food path, and stay a while. Your body will thank you. Your soul already knows.
Go With the Flow
Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is pause. Step away from the rush, listen to your body, and move gently toward clarity and inner peace. By choosing to spend these days with us in beautiful Paleros, you've already taken the first step on a transformative journey, and they're here to guide you every step of the way.
This retreat is an invitation to soften, release, and reconnect, not only with nature, but with the quiet wisdom within. Each moment is designed to help you feel grounded, nourished, and deeply in tune with yourself.
Your Journey Begins
On arrival day, you’ll be welcomed into the serene space with a delicious dinner and the chance to meet your yoga instructors and the caring support team who will accompany you throughout your stay. From the beginning, you’ll feel held in a space of ease, openness, and support.
Flowing Through the Day
Mornings begin at 8:30 with gentle breathwork and an energising yoga practice. This is your time to awaken your body, open your heart, and start the day with clarity and intention.
At 10:00, gather for a nourishing brunch, prepared with love to fuel your day. Afterwards, the afternoon is yours. Whether you wander to the beach, rest under the trees, journal, or join in optional group activities, you are encouraged to follow the rhythm of what your body and spirit truly need.
As the sun begins to set, you'll come together again at 17:30-18:00 for the gentle afternoon sessions. These may include meditation, restorative yoga, or spontaneous workshops based on the group’s energy. The approach is intuitive and flexible; each day is a co-creation shaped by presence and compassion.
At 19:30, you'll share a wholesome dinner, followed by unstructured time to relax, reflect, or simply enjoy the company of others under the starlit sky.
Letting Go, Gently
This retreat isn’t about perfect poses or pushing boundaries. It’s about learning the art of letting go; of old habits, tightness in the body, and patterns that no longer serve you. Together, you'll reflect on your journey, explore your inner landscape, and uncover the beauty that unfolds when you truly listen to yourself.
Your body already knows the way. Let Foodpath Center help you follow it; softly, consciously, and with heart.
Throughout the week, the library and quiet corners of the centre are available for reading and reflection. Guests who wish to explore the spiritual teachings behind Foodpath's approach will find copies of How to Die Before You Die, a book rooted in the ancient Greek mystery tradition that has shaped Antonis's understanding of the connection between how we live and how we let go.
Instructors
Antonios Raptis
Born in 1976, Antonios — also known as Shankar — has spent his life exploring the connection between food, movement, and the inner life. He has trained extensively in energetic diets, yoga, meditation, and holistic approaches to well-being, and holds a certified Yoga Teacher Training qualification. In 2006, he encountered the teachings of the Self-Liberation path rooted in the ancient Greek mystery tradition — a meeting that shaped his understanding of the relationship between land, spirit, and the divine, and that runs quietly through everything at Foodpath to this day!
Lara Rodriguez
Lara is a yoga teacher and a wellness consultant. Her journey began following an early 'midlife crisis' and the encounter with the ancient tradition of Kriya yoga. During a retreat in Greece, Lara met her first meditation teacher who initiate her into the practice and the teachings. She traveled and lived for about three years between Greece, India where she studied in the ashram of her Guru Swami Shankarananda Giri, Spain, France, and Italy where she completed her training in the field of wellness and holistic disciplines such as Ayurveda therapy, Kid yoga, mindfulness and meditation.
Ludovica Pinci
Ludovica began her yoga journey in 2019, quickly making it the central thread of her life and building communities for connection and growth. Since 2020, she has taught yoga in various countries, offering dynamic and gentle classes in diverse settings. Initially trained in Vinyasa yoga, Ludovica is also a certified Yin yoga, yoga therapy, and Pilates instructor. She enriches her classes with yogic philosophy, pranayama, and anatomy, ensuring they are engaging and accessible to all.
Georgia Konstantakopoulou
Georgia has always sought ways to let her body evolve, create, and express through movement. Yoga began as a release for physical tension but soon revealed deeper benefits that drew her in. She completed 200-hour and 300-hour RYT trainings at EYS, alongside studies in Yin Yoga and Thai Massage. For Georgia, yoga is a way to connect with yourself—where movement and breath flow naturally, softening both body and mind. Her classes center on breath-led movement, encouraging presence, emotional awareness, and personal exploration on and off the mat.
Retreat location
Paleros is a charming village on the west coast of Greece, located next to the island of Lefkada.
It is just a 20-minute drive from Preveza Airport (PVK) and is also accessible from Athens with a private taxi service organised by Foodpath Center.
The drive from Athens takes approximately four hours.
Visitors often find themselves returning to Paleros. The village is nestled between mountains and the sea, creating a magnetic energy that is both invigorating and serene. The clear waters of the Ionian Sea offer a variety of water sports and activities, while the surrounding mountains provide excellent opportunities for hiking and exploring ancient ruins.
Paleros is ideally situated in the heart of the west coast. From here, you can travel north or south, meeting like-minded individuals, sharing experiences and knowledge, and inspiring each other to live mindfully. The centre itself has a small library with books curated around conscious living, inner work, and the spiritual life of Greece. It is that kind of place.
