"A bubble of serenity in a wonderful place"
What else to say ? A beautiful place away from Phnom Penh where I got to meet beautiful people and practice yoga with great instructors.
Each teacher had its own method and we had a variety of courses though don’t get confused by the description on the site it’s not corresponding. It was more a day-to-day schedule rather than a pre-organized and regular one. But this was a really pleasant stay thanks to the resident teachers at the time (beginning of January)
Thank you all Noreen, Zan, Mathilda, Rafaela, Maria, Patrick and Eddie. I opened up to many different practices and methods teached in your own personal way and loved it, I feel changed and more confident.
I arrived stressed and exhausted I left peaceful and feeling stronger in my body with great sessions everyday.
The owners are really nice, you get to practice meditation every morning with Jean. Everything went smoothly and you feel at home and the place is so inspiring.
The veggie food was really good, really nice breakfast and variety of veggies and fruits.
My room was great and well equipped.
I felt like I was part of a big family, met beautiful souls there and extended for an extra day. I wished I stayed longer in Cambodia.
I have a few comments though but still I loved staying there
Thank you Blue Indigo Team !

"More than a paradise...."
I had the most incredible 8-day stay at Blue Indigo Retreat Center. From the moment I arrived, I felt a sense of peace and belonging that only deepened as the days went by.
A special thanks to the wonderful ladies who prepared the most delicious meals and maintained the place in really good conditions—they poured so much care and love into everything they did, and it truly showed.
Jan, thank you for being the heart of this retreat. Your wisdom, guidance, and life lessons have left an indelible mark on me. You are not just an amazing host but also a master and teacher of life, and I feel so grateful to have had the chance to learn from you.
Mathilda, your yoga classes were a gift to my body and soul. Your warmth and presence made every session feel special, and your energy uplifted everyone around you.
Blue Indigo is a sanctuary of healing and growth, and I will always treasure my time here, I would recommend you do your own disconnection of internet/phone and you will really live it to the fullest - also bring tons of mosquito repellents. I leave with a full heart, deep gratitude, and a longing to return one day for sure to see once again those magical sunsets. Thank you for creating such a magical space! NAMASTE!

"9 days in Blue Indigo"
I love my time there , I was really lucky to find a really nice group of people that I could bound and they treated me like family. Niv and Alice ( yoga teachers) were very kind although my level of yoga was not that advanced. Although you could see that it was their first experience in teaching. The food was AMAZING, you can see that is made from the heart

"Excellent yoga and food "
Lucy B and Niv S were the yoga instructors for the week of June 14-21, 2024. They were technically very good, but what made them superior was their ability to take my individual strengths and weaknesses onboard and make a great yoga plan for me. I learned more about proper posture and challenging myself in a week than I have in many months. Plus they were kind ànd positive. The food was was outstanding and fueled the whole experience. It was both healthy and tasty. Thank you cook - but really chef - Sophia. Exceeded my expectations.

"Great practice in beautiful Siem Reap"
The daily practice sessions were fantastic! The regular schedule allowed me to settle into an easy routine, however the sessions were different everyday. The instructors were confident and able to focus on the specific group and our needs. This was an opportunity to try new styles in a safe and positive environment as there were people of all ages and abilities. The accomodation was safe, clean and basic. I definitely recommend getting a bicycle to get in and our of town as it is quite hot to walk around unless you prefer to get tuktuks everywhere. The food was delicious and I especially appreciated having drinking water available to refill bottles rather than having to buy.

The teachers are very good and approachable. The classes are different everyday, making yoga fun, interesting and not boring. Food us very good. The cleanliness and quality of the shala, mats and other materials is also very good.

"Wonderful experience"
Teacher is friendly & helpful to share their experience, knowledge. And reliable to depend on he / she to carry out the yoga moves. Inspire & Encourage student to venture out to practice or know more after great session of class. Vegan food is excellent. Awesome experience.

"Une bulle de bienveillance"
L'accueil est très chaleureux et je me suis rapidement sentie chez moi et bien entourée. Les professeurs sont géniaux et très attentifs. Le logement et la nourriture sont vraiment très bien, mieux que ce à quoi je m'attendais. Je réfléchissais déjà à y revenir avant d'être partie !

"Bliss"
- Teachers: Everyone was so professional and talented, I was so happy with all instructors there. They all helped me when my body wasn't able to do most of the moves, they really go out of their way to help you in your practice and beyond.
- Staff: The local staff and owners are all so very kind. Very open to requests, let me use the kitchen when I needed the blender, and lent me some special oil for muscle pain after my accident. Such warmhearted people!
- Environment: For not being a huge place, they had a lot of different spaces to chill, sit down for tea, with lots of trees and plants everywhere. One of the best parts is the creativity in every corner, with all the wall paintings, lovely quotes, upcycled decor...so much heart put into this place.
- Location: very convenient, 20min walk to the centre of Siem Reap
- Food: delicious and nutritious. They make sure you get a variety of fruit, grains, legumes, veggies, herbs...Always something fresh and something cooked. The chefs do an excellent job!
- Maintenance: the place is clean, our rooms were made every day, towels changed every 3 days. When my bidet hose leaked and forgot to tell them, they noticed and changed it during their cleaning routine. If something is not right just let them know.
- Extras: there were about 3 bicycles available to use for free, makes exploring town even easier! My fiancee did the ayurveda massage at Indigo and was pleased.
We loved it! Wish we could stay +2 weeks...

"Perfect...!"
I was looking for a simple place to do yoga and relax for a month. Blue Indigo was everything and more. The classes are great, teachers are awesome, very nice and knowledgeable. The food is simple and fresh. The surroundings are stunning, a garden of Eden in the middle of the city. The owners are so generous and kind, they look after you really well. The whole month was like a dream. I highly recommend.

"Wonderful and so serence"
I can't speak highly enough of Blue Indigo Retreat and its staff after spending over a month there. It's like a home away from home and everyone is treated like family. The accommodation is great, simple and very comfortable, its a little haven of tranquility staying there. The food is beautiful, lovingly cooked fresh each day by their wonderful cooks and they have a simple, but lovely selection of vegetarian food. Yoga - Ariel Yoga and Meditation Teachers are wonderful, just like the array of classes they offer which are free to guests staying at Blue Indigo. Life is about sharing and this is exactly what you get at Blue Indigo. Whether you are part of a group, a couple or travelling solo like myself, you will not be disappointed with your stay. Blue Indigo is open every day for people staying in or around Siem Reap to come and join any of their classes they offer for a small cost. Believe me its worth it! Now I have found this little gem it will remain my little haven and my place to go when I need to rebalance myself.

"If you have awesome experience, this place is poor for you."
Private accommodation.
Group of people.
The environment inside is very different than in the city.
This isn't yoga retreat for one month, we were only two paying guests who where there for the whole month, I thought that there will be any program of theory lecture, that we will be learning new things, but nothing was there and when time was going, everything was the same and very boring, people were changing, so do not trust them that this is a retreat with the theory of yoga, many things in description is misleading but they will write you that it´s not and also in reply to my review will be arguing that everything was the best, because they don´t have any effort to make the yoga retreat the best, because owners are not yogis, they do it only because of their business and it is simply bad...

"A Yoga Retreat with True Depth"
I cannot stress how much I valued my time at Blue Indigo! It was a truly beautiful experience and I wish I had more time to spend there. From the moment I arrived welcomed into the community. It truly is a community of loving individuals at Blue Indigo, from the instructors to those who attend. The housing is quaint and down to earth. The food is delicious and feels very 'clean.' This retreat offers many types of yoga throughout the day so you can truly make this experience yours. Not only are their guided yoga classes, meditation sessions, and lectures but there is a space for you to dive deeper into your own practice. Among the plants you can find a peaceful spot in a hammock or in a shala by the pond to do your own meditations, reading, journaling, dancing, etc. You can truly be yourself at this place and dive as deep as you would like. The teachers here really bring in the depth of yoga...there will be no yoga robots at Blue Indigo! This yoga is not just surface level of moving your body around (Yes! You will move your body quite a lot!!) but you are constantly invited to check in with the breath and what is going on inside of you... invited to acknowledge, accept, heal, etc. I learned something new every session. Everybody you meet, instructors and attendees alike, can help you grow and help you along in your journey. This place and the people I met will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Very Nice And good teachers! Food was very nice, especially the lunch. The center was well designed And there were sweet cats❤️ Accommodation was perfect for me. I even had a very special yoga/meditation experience at the temple, organised by blue indigo them self. But i liked the yoga shedule and types of classes the most. Was a nice planned mix. It was a very good way for me to get in balance And back into the healthy vibes after a long time

It is an intimate experience with wonderful people. Nina was so friendly and welcoming and the guest instructors were all of a really high standard. It was nice to sit down and eat together after classes or relax in the beautiful garden. I am a beginner with yoga, the other participants were very experienced. It didn’t matter at all.

"Peace, Love and Awareness"
There aren’t enough words to discribe my experience at the Blue Indigo retreat but if I have to name tree it would be Peace, Love and Awareness.
This place of Yoga and Meditation is an environment of arts with a unique charm that comes together with the beauty of Cambodia, and lots of caring kittens. I love the nature and the art of those smiling people who were always friendly and kind to me.
I enjoyed the delicious food as I also enjoyed the table conversations as well. It was a small moment of reflection that made great expierences for me. I made a lot of friends from different cultures. Those beautiful people and experiences helped me in my process of evolution.
I had very good and dedicated teachers who know their Yoga with passion and know how to transmit it patiently to their pupils.
After one month of making friends, learning the Asanas, being in meditations, visiting important temples, having a good time,... it was hard to leave. I knew at the moment of saying goodbye that I was going to miss this place and energy.
Thank you all. One day I will go back

"Simply but perfect "
Blue Indigo is a very quirky retreat. I highly recommend this if you're look for a place to relax and gather your thoughts. The facilities are basic and not what you'll get in a luxury retreat but it's the simplicity that makes it special.
The teachers Kat and Laura were fantastic and very knowledgeable. They both added a great relaxed and comforting energy to the place.
Overall staff at the retreat were lovely and the food was amazing despite it being vegetarian.
The mango tree! The mangoes were very yummy!
