Holland House stands in three acres of beautiful gardens alongside the River Avon and is situated in the beautiful Vale of Evesham, one of the “gardens of England.” Since 1946, it has been a Christian retreat house, offering opportunities for individuals and groups of all faiths and none to visit for a single day, a weekend, or longer. With twenty-seven bedrooms, a beautiful bespoke chapel, a variety of meeting rooms, and three acres of gardens, Holland House is a wonderful venue in which to rest, create, learn, discuss, or simply be quiet. It seeks to provide the space, time, and ethos that will facilitate an authentic encounter with the self, the other, and the Divine, actively pursuing its stated aim: to discover and promote harmony with all creation.
The oldest part of the house dates from the early seventeenth century. There you will find the library, drawing room, and beamed dining room. The bedrooms look out onto the beautiful surroundings, and most have single beds.
The retreat center is in beautiful countryside, so walks will be on offer, five hatha yoga sessions, a Mandala drawing activity (a calming / meditative activity that requires no artistic skill), a mindfulness workshop, chanting session (optional), and taking space to read, contemplate, and rest.
- Single / twin rooms, some with beamed ceilings, shared bathrooms (there is no reduction for two people sharing a room as the retreat center charges per person)
- Beautiful room to practice yoga, enjoy the relaxation, and sound bath.
- Gorgeous gardens, three acres to practice yoga outside in good weather, or sit and relax, enjoying the tranquility
- Dining room with beamed ceilings, fireplaces, and ethically sourced vegetarian meals.
Program
During the weekend, there will be yoga (five sessions), a mindfulness workshop, a sound bath, walks, and time to relax. The addition the opportunity to learn mandala drawing (meditative activity which doesn't require artistic skills).
