Overview
Would your clients love access to a mindful outdoor activity that is both fun, challenging and wholesome? Do you just love being on the water?
This course is a 3 full days 25-hour Yoga Alliance continuing education training (YACEP). The organizer is offering SUP yoga teacher training that will provide you with the knowledge of SUP skills along with SUP yoga (water safety and leadership) and learn how to run your own SUP yoga business.
Yoga Malta aims to guide you through the entire process to become a skilled, confident SUP yoga teacher who can adapt each class to the environment and modifications for each student, creating an amazing experience for all.
Can you do the course if you're not a yoga teacher?
Non-yoga teachers are welcome to participate having at least 6 months of experience as a yoga student or any sport. To be certified as a SUP yoga instructor, you must complete the course and fulfill the following requirements:
- Pass all tests
- Achieve a satisfactory evaluation of your teaching skills, leadership skills, and attention to safety

Instructors
Merve Yigit
Merve Yigit is an Ashtanga and Vinyasa flow yoga teacher (RYT500 Yoga Alliance), sociologist, entrepreneur, and mindfulness trainer who is dedicated to sharing better health and wellness in all aspects of life. With many years of experience and extensive knowledge in yoga and other movement practices, she is the founder of Yoga Malta and is committed to helping others find alignment in their passions, work, and selves. Based in Malta, she teaches yoga classes during the summer months from May to December and organizes yoga retreats and yoga teacher training courses in various locations.
Retreat location
The training will take place in Sliema, Malta. But please note that this program may be subject to modification based on any arising needs. Additionally, due to weather conditions, the location of activities may change on a daily basis. In such cases, the retreat may operate at any of the following locations: Riviera Bay, Manoel Island, Blue Grotto, and St. Paul’s Island.
However, the organizer will keep you informed and ensure that all activities are conducted safely and effectively. Please also note that the organizer provides accommodation in Sliema, and any changes to the location of activities will not affect your accommodation arrangements.
Things to do (optional)
During breaks or after the course, students can enjoy various activities in Malta such as visiting beaches, snorkeling, and diving in the crystal clear waters, exploring historical sites, hiking or walking trails, going on a boat tour, and trying local cuisine at markets and restaurants.
The organizer can also arrange additional SUP tours for students and sailing trips are available. Additionally, students can participate in outdoor yoga and meditation classes in group or private settings.
