Secret Garden
Secret Garden is an open-plan eco-house, a cross between a boat deck and a tree house, with a spacious airy loft and big comfortable beds where you can spend your downtime when you aren't surfing, socializing, and touring the region.
Built from wood and bamboo and featuring all kinds of wonderful art, the house runs on rainwater collected from the roof and is the only one of its kind in the village. There are fabulous views of the river and the iguanas resting in nearby trees. Chill in our hammock lounge and read a book, check your emails, or take a siesta.
Optic fiber internet will keep you connected to your friends and family, and of course, if you need to work remotely while you are here.

Surf Schools
There are two local surf schools that Secret Garden Mompiche coordinates with for your surf lessons, depending on who is available at the time of your booking. Both instructors are former Ecuadorian surfing champions and can tailor your classes to suit your needs.
Your instructors will provide surf training classes in and out of the water, using videos of you during your classes to help you make corrections and consistently improve your surfing skills. The instructors will help you progress from the beginner's wave to the advanced wave and can take you on daily surf trips to the Point Break and the Bocana where there are two different styles of surfing to learn and practice.
Board rental and instruction are included in the price of the tours. If you need extra time with the surfboard or in the water with the instructors, you can negotiate directly with the surf instructors.
Yoga Classes
There are regular yoga and Pilates classes in front of the beach in Mompiche. You can sign up to take daily classes at an hour that suits you, either before or after surfing. Your Surf Camp fee includes 4 classes.

There are two amazing surf spots on the beach: the Point Break at low tide and the Bocana at high tide. The village is small and the surf community is tight, so it's easy to make new friends and make your way around to explore all Mompiche has to offer.
What else can you do here:

- Walk the 7-kilometer beach and maybe come across some hatching turtles
- Hike up the river and take a swim in cool fresh water
