Rishikesh Yoga Valley is surrounded by lush green mountains and you can walk down to the river any time of the day. There are clean attached washrooms with hot or cold showers, spacious and well-lit rooms, and parking facilities.
Program
Rishikesh Yoga Valley's vision is to guide you to adapt a holistic and fulfilling lifestyle and enrich your understanding of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, while also taking measures to prevent any possible lifestyle disorders, which are major health concerns in the present day through the retreat. The retreat is carefully designed and conducted by a group of experienced yoga trainers and Ayurvedic doctors.
Curriculum
- A foundation course to basic principles of ancient Ayurvedic healing
- Introduction to normal and abnormal functioning of doshas, and their symptoms in the body
- Introduction to normal and abnormal functioning of doshas, and their symptoms in the body
- Introduction to Trayoasthamba - knowledge of diet, sleep, and sexual activity
- Introduction to Dinacharya and Ritucharya (daily regimen and seasonal regimen)
- Introduction to common causes of diseases in Ayurveda
- Prevention of the occurrence of diseases - (Roganupatyiya) and lifestyle modifications
- Commonly available Ayurvedic drugs and formulations, and their utility

- Therapy for full body rejuvenation
- Abhyanga and Swedana, Kayaseka, Udhwarthana - choice of therapy
- Therapy for rejuvenation of sense organs - Shirodhara

Daily activities
Day 1
- Pooja and fire ceremony
- Course overview and distribution of material
- Basic principles and introduction to Ayurveda, Doshas, body types, and panchakarma
Day 2
- Jalneti (one of the Shatkarmas in yogic cleansing)
The second day will begin with the practice of Jala neti early in the morning, one of the Shatkarmas of yoga. This cleanses your channels and provides clarity of senses, thereby preparing your mind and body for the upcoming practice of pranayama and Ayurveda every day.
- Pranayam and yoga class
A pranayama and yoga sessions follow this as they introduce a new theme every day throughout the retreat to ensure you are working on the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of your well-being.
- Marma therapy: a class on marma therapy, followed by a marma massage where you get to experience its wonders
Day 3
- Detox yoga flow
- Introduction to Rasayana (rejuvenation) therapy, types of Rasayana, its preparation and tasting of various Rasayanas, and brain tonics available in Ayurveda
- Therapy: Kayaseka or Abhyanga and Swedana or Udhwarthana customized according to body type
Day 4
After having worked on your Chakras, day four will be all about working on your senses. The Pancha Jyanendriya (sense organs) are the receptors of continuous stimulus in your body. It is therefore essential to soothe your senses and revitalize them with your chosen Ayurvedic practices.

- A day trip to the beautiful Mountains Of Rishikesh

Instructors
Kamal Negi
Growing up in a mountain village near the holy city of Rishikesh, India, Kamal got access to the ancient yoga tradition from a very young age. He lived in Jai Ram Ashram for six months where he got certificated in traditional Hatha yoga. Motivated and inspired to learn more, he attended a 200-hour teacher training for multi-style yoga training. Further, he was blessed to get trained in his everyday practice from Ravi Ji in Hatha yoga and Pravin Nair in Iyengar style for several years. Finally, he completed his higher studies in M. A Yoga post graduation, at Uttarakhand Open University.

During her study of Ayurvedic Medicine for 5 years, her experiences with patients led her to realise the importance of healthy living & her passion to spread the knowledge to guide people in taking care of themselves physically & mentally. She graduated as a doctor in Ayurvedic medicine from Rajiv Gandhi University, Karnataka. After a few years of self - practice, her love for Hatha Yoga led her to the yoga capital, Rishikesh, where she got her 200hr YTT certification at PIYF. Now she lives her dream of helping her students achieve healthy & holistic healing with the help of Yoga & Ayurveda.
