Accommodation
Accommodation is luxury and totally gorgeous. You will have everything you need and a really friendly team on hand to ask, in case there is anything additional that you need. All rooms are designed with nature in mind and built with mostly local, natural materials.
Program
You will start the day practicing yoga together on the banks of the Indus River. The yoga practice will be open to all levels, stripped back to its essence with a strong focus on meditation.
You will have three meals a day cooked for you beautifully, with love and fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Days will unfold in gentle rhythms. There will be ample time to relax in nature, to enjoy the gorgeous mountainous setting without a need to do anything. If you wish to join, we have planned two mini adventures together. One early morning trip to a local monastery for morning prayers. One is a group hike up to an incredible ancient meditation cave.
You will spend the evenings stargazing by the fire.
Example daily schedule:
730 - optional group sit silent meditation for the early risers
8-930 - energising yoga practice with Nicki
10 - 1130 - breakfast
1130 - 1 - free time (time to walk, book a massage, take a trip into Leh)
1-2 - lunch
2-5 - free time (relaxation time, reading, or potentially our group hike)
5-630 - evening yin yoga practice with Pim
7-8 - dinner
8-9 - stargazing by the fire
Included excursions
One trip to Thiksey monastery before breakfast for early morning prayers. You get the unique opportunity to sit in on the monks morning prayer/song session and also to hear the conch shell being blown to wake up the valley.
One trip to Hemis monastery, where we will then hike up into the mountains and visit the ancient Gotsang meditation cave. Incredible scenery and a chance to sit and meditate in a very special place.
Instructors
Pim
Pim has been teaching yoga and meditation for around 7 years; her practice is inspired by various lineages and traditions but focuses on promoting overall embodiment. All that Pim shares is designed to support you in dropping out of an overactive thinking mind into the creative expansiveness of a united mind and body.
Nicki
Nicki is a yoga teacher and massage therapist. Rooted in Tibetan heritage, Nicki grew up deeply curious about the philosophy of Buddhism and the profound belief in interconnectedness. This sparked a lifelong journey of self-discovery and exploration of practices that could bring harmony to the challenges of modern life. She has trained in Ashtanga, Hatha, Vinyasa and Forrest yoga alongside cultivating her own personal practice of meditation and Tibetan yoga. At the heart of her teaching is a simple yet powerful aim: to help cultivate peace of mind and a compassionate heart.
