Serena Vista

Owner and founder of Serena Vista and experienced as a psycho-dynamic therapist for over 25 years. She specialises in counselling children, adolescents, and adults. With passion and dedication, she guides people to release mental, emotional, and physical blockages and strengthen their health. She does this by applying various personalised forms of therapy. From the heart and in connection with her clients, she creates a safe environment in which peace, space, and healing are central. At Serena Vista, the client's well-being comes first.

She started yoga 12 years ago. Over 9 years ago, she left the Netherlands (Breda) to travel the world. A special journey began in India, where Carla did her first Ashtanga yoga teacher training to deepen her own practice. While travelling, she started teaching and discovered how much she wanted to spread yoga to others, sharing what yoga had meant for her. Returning to India a few years later, after a long search, she found an authentic Hatha school where she was able to take two more different Hatha teacher training courses.

Before Brigitte Canepa made her way as a therapist, she studied Fine Arts in Italy, Spain, and Portugal. Even before she decided to study art, she considered studying psychology, but the course content felt unreal to her—dry material aimed at reprogramming the brain. When she drew models at art school, she focused deeply on their emotional world and tried to read their thoughts, wishes, and sensations. Later, her body became increasingly involved in her art, and she began to learn about herself through embodiment practices, which eventually led her into the field of somatic psychotherapy.
