Programm
Day 1
Arrive at Geneva Airport by train or plane, and meet the group at the arrivals area. Join the group transfer as it makes its way to Chamonix through the mountains. Upon arrival, check in, settle into the room, and explore the chalet and the peaceful surroundings.
Take a quick walk to the local functional fitness gym to loosen up stiffness from travelling and get into the rhythm of the week. Afterwards, relax by the pool or hot tub before heading into town for the first dinner together, marking the start of the shared alpine adventure.
Day 2
Start with a team breakfast before venturing up to the Aiguille du Midi for a jaw-dropping experience at +3850m. Expect endless views, a climbing museum, a hypoxic chamber, and direct views to Mont Blanc, the Bossons Glacier, the Vallée Blanche, and perhaps the Matterhorn. On the way down, stop at the middle station where the hike will begin.
Stop for a picnic lunch on the mountain without rushing. The hike takes participants along the Grand Balcon Nord and Montenvers, through stunning paths and views of the entire valley.
Return to the chalet for time to stretch, swim, or simply take in the mountain views from the hot tub.
Head into town for a team dinner and recount the adventures of the day.
Day 3
Begin the day with a buffet-style breakfast before tackling one of Chamonix’s most iconic hikes. The Lac Blanc trail offers expansive views with time to share stories, pause, and fully absorb the scale of the landscape.
Sit for a picnic lunch on the mountain, surrounded by dramatic peaks and open skies. In the late afternoon, return to the chalet for a restorative yin session, followed by pool or rest time.
In the evening, head out for a delicious dinner in Chamonix, sharing stories from the trail.
Day 4
After breakfast, set off for a full morning of canyoning. Expect wild nature, exhilarating rappelling, optional jumping into rock pools, and appreciation of nature.
Refuel with a picnic lunch and return to town for an optional spa visit for specialist treatments, or enjoy the pools. Alternatively, enjoy quiet pool time at home, or visit the Chamonix Crystal Museum.
Gather for dinner in town to celebrate the day’s adventures.
Day 5
Following breakfast, head on foot to Les Gaillands, a stunning landscape including forest, rock face, and lake along the River Arve. Meet the guides and spend the morning in a coached rock climbing session. Routes will be adapted to all levels, focusing on building confidence and technique.
Have a picnic lunch at the lake before returning on foot to Chamonix, followed by a functional fitness session at the foot of the mountain.
In the late afternoon, a slow yin session will help stretch after a demanding day, with pool and relaxation time to follow.
Head out for dinner in the evening to celebrate the week and reflect on shared experiences.
Day 6
Wake up, have a final dip in the pool, pack, and join the celebratory breakfast around the long table to recap the week. Check out of the chalet by 10:30.
Group transfer returns participants to Geneva with tired legs, clear minds, fresh perspectives, new friendships, and new memories shaped by movement, nature, and connection in the mountains.
Who you’ll meet
The Chamonix Retreat attracts curious, active, adventurous travellers, lovers of mountains and trails, and those who need to get away from routine.
Most guests arrive feeling mentally busy, stretched, overworked, or in “doing mode,” needing fresh air and movement.
Guests seek consistent movement, but not with intensity, enjoy breathtaking views, and spend time together in a small group.
Guests are typically between 30 and 60 years old, with no upper age limit.
A moderate level of fitness is required as most hikes take several hours and include long uphill sections. Regular breaks are taken to enjoy the views.
Adventure in the Mont Blanc Country
Prepare to surprise yourself with a new outdoor pursuit daily. Expert local guides ensure safety while helping participants push their limits and feel a sense of achievement.
A new perspective from +3842m
Taking the cable car to the Aiguille du Midi offers jaw-dropping views of the Vallée Blanche, Mont Blanc, the Glacier des Bossons, and an almost bird’s-eye view of the Chamonix Valley. On a clear day, the Matterhorn may be visible. Above all, it provides education in the recent history of mountaineering and a test of breathing at high altitude.
Guided alpine hiking
Scenic hikes cover rocky and forest terrain, with varied distances and styles, including Grands Balcons, Lac Blanc, and Mer de Glace.
Coached gym sessions
Two functional fitness sessions, coached privately at the newest CrossFit gym on the slopes.
Coached canyoning
Mid-week adrenaline: rappel down the canyons of the Mont Blanc area, coached by a team of local experts.
Coached rock climbing
Spend a few hours scaling the vertical rock faces at Les Gaillands with expert local coaches. Expect skill building, confidence growth, and group camaraderie. Routes are tailored to group levels.
Daily stretching
Complementary Yin sessions provide slow, meditative practice with poses held for several minutes, targeting deep connective tissues, fascia, and joints. This helps recovery, circulation, and sleep.
