Everything about this Retreat was amazing. The location in secluded mountains with sea view and the facilities are breathtakingly beautiful. Old fashion charm with modern conveniences and a chef who makes food an art. The yoga teachers were very meticulous in their approach to make the most of the 7 days of yoga. The method they teach (Purna Yoga) has a very strong Iyengar influences with wall and chair exercises, but on top of that they added a very profound layer of meditative and spine rejuvenating practices.
The day was scheduled so that you can get challenged and awakened with vigorous morning practice and restored with a beautiful evening yoga and meditation practices.
There was enough time for sight-seeing this amazing area with local beaches, or just hang by the pool and rest and read a book picked up from a library of holistic books in English or Spanish.
I have learned some simple but profound techniques to quiet the monkey mind and let go of emotional baggage. Also, the hands-on adjustments helped me deepen my yoga practice.
There were some beginners in the yoga room, but despite the challenging flow, Eva and Gabriel made sure to give extra attention and modifications to those students, and they all came out turned on to a yoga practice upon returning to their native countries.
I would highly recommend those passionate and compassionate yoga teachers and the gorgeous facilities to anybody seeking to deepen their yoga practice, rejuvenate and rest the body.
