Casale Fusco

This experience far exceeded our expectations. It’s hard to pick a single best thing about this trip. While we had a set itinerary, our hosts were flexible and willing to make adjustments with any special requests we had. Every activity was individualized for our particular desire and needs. Even our downtime was special as we had full access to the beautiful property and were invited to make ourselves at home. If I had to sum it up, I would say we felt like both honored guests and family all at the same time. We are already planning a return visit next year.

I was blown away with the quality of our stay. Our hosts customized everything to our liking, which is not what I was expecting. They really bend over backwards to make sure your itinerary is exactly what you'd like. We had a personal driver and guide (Umberto) with us for every excursion, who was accommodating and entertaining. Our chef/teacher for the cooking classes (Maria) was delightful and taught us some tips to bring home with us to our own kitchens. And our hosts, Andrea and Vincenzo, were warm and welcoming and really made us feel like we were already friends. Their beautiful property was so relaxing and peaceful, and our rooms were so large and comfortable, I could easily have stayed another week! The quality of this trip was not something I was expecting for the price. It is a tremendous value for what they charge. A true gem!

People were friendly and very hospitable . The location was breathtaking in the countryside of Umbría. The culinary experience with Maria the chef was so much fun, great food, great wine, lovely people and serene nature. The room was well equipped and clean. It was a total retreat. I couldn’t have asked for more as a first time solo traveler.

Casale Fusco is a true oasis of peace and beauty—elegantly furnished, with a super comfortable bed, fluffy white towels, and expansive outdoor spaces offering breathtaking views of the Umbrian countryside.

The hosts, Andrea and Vincenzo, were incredibly warm and attentive, making me feel genuinely welcome. Every meal was a delight—organic, delicious, and lovingly prepared by Maria. Dining here felt like being part of a family.

The program was thoughtfully curated, offering a variety of enriching activities. Each destination I was driven to by Umberto was a feast for the senses, made even more meaningful by the insights he shared along the way. All I had to do was relax and enjoy!

This holiday left a lasting impression on me. The elegance of Umbria—with its rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves, and towns steeped in history and spirituality—has found a permanent place in my heart. I can’t recommend Casale Fusco highly enough.

The best thing about this retreat was how well we were cared for and welcomed into the home almost like family! Every detail was taken care of and we were able to relax and enjoy. Andrea and Vincenzo are phenomenal hosts. We were so well fed and the food was amazing every day! Unberto was a super fun guide around all of the cities and very friendly. My friend and I are already planning our trip to come back next year! I highly recommend staying at Casale Fusco to enjoy the views and amazing food.

Vincenzo and Andrea were very informative, kind and generous. They tried their utmost to ensure our experience is wonderful. By the time we left Casale, we felt like being with our family for a week. The tours were selected carefully and were outstanding. We learned a lot about the Roman history and the towns we visited: Spoleto, Assissi, Monte Falco, Bevagna etc. The cooking experience was fun and we learned so much about the Italian cuisine

This was one of the best travel experiences I have ever had. Communication was great and my experience was far greater than I expected. All of the people were warm, friendly, and gave me a feeling of family. I wanted to keep this little experience as my secret, but alas, that would not be fair to them. This was a PERFECT experience from start to finish. Highly recommended. These are true professionals that seem to do it all effortlessly. I already wish to go back!

Our stay at the casa fualco was better than expected. Our hosts Andrea and Vincenzo went out of their way to endure we had an excellent experience in Umbria. The guide and driver we had was also awesome, as was our cooking instructor Maria. I cannot wait to return!

Upon arrival we felt very welcome. Our rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Bathroom was recently updated, very large, wonderful olive oil soap was an extra treat. We had four amazing cooking classes with Maria, while she didn’t speak English, Andrea was there to translate. Maria was extremely knowledgeable in all areas of the kitchen. To us it was like cooking in your own kitchen, very relaxed and casual, which we liked the style of. We learned a lot of new ways to combine different ingredients. Simple and fresh ingredients. Very hands on. We were served all the courses we prepared along with some of their fabulous wines!

The scenery there is jaw dropping, we couldn’t get enough! The excursions they took us on were the most memorable. The hill towns were breathtaking. The food amazing. Aurelio our driver and guide became like family, you could see his love and passion for his home of Spoleto shone through in everywhere we went.

Casale Fusco was a dream come true for us and Vincenzo and Andrea couldn’t have been more wonderful. We really felt like family the whole time we were there. If I could give them 1000 stars I would. We hope to go back every year, it was the highlight of our trip.

Where to start - Vincenzo, Andrea and Maria were perfect hosts. From the moment I arrived I felt the warmth of their welcome. From the cooking lessons with Maria to the Truffle Hunting and Wine tasting - everything was organised well, thoughtful and a lovely experience. The few days I was there I packed in so much, enjoyed the wonderful Umbrian countryside, marvelled at the churches and the architecture. I learnt to cook traditional local recipes, made pasta and was introduced to the wonders of Italian wines and olives oils. I would truly recommend Casale Fusco holidays - and I will be returning with my friends in tow very soon! Thank you Vince, Andrea and Maria.

Very kind and generous hosts

Our hosts Andrea and Vincenzo went out of their way to make us welcome and provide an experience that was tailored to us. Everything from the truffle hunting to the market visits was well organised and the cookery lessons interesting and delicious.

The cooking class with Maria was very relaxed with a glass of wine and a snack and we learned a lot of new things.

We were spoiled with yummy food and amazing wines and great service.

In addition, we were so happy with the organized excursions during the day time, especially the truffle hunting! Thanks so much for this amazing week.

The food, farmhouse, people and activities were amazing. A beautiful blend of exploring the villages of the area, eating, drinking, cooking and learning about local delicacies and how to cook them. A highlight activity was truffle hunting as we searched and found the precious black gold! I have already made so many recipes again to share with family and recreate Umbria at home. Andrea ans Vincent were like family as we cooked, laughed and explored together. Such a unique and special way to explore Umbria. Highly recommend and hope to be back again.
